Very disappointed :(
Better Late Then Never
In other words, this film is a surreal ride.
The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.
View MoreI would never have found this show only that my granddaughter recommended it, knowing I'd love it.I can't say enough about it. It takes a while to get to know the main character, Josh, and to make sense of the title. And then about 3 episodes in, it all clicks into place and the emotional investment takes over along with the laughs. And there are many. It's quite graphic at times, particularly when talking about sex but it all rings true. And grown-up compared with so much that comes out of the American and Canadian studios.I loved all the characters, flawed and all and so many of the scenes are still resonating, Josh off on a wilderness tour with his mum, fireworks on the beach, John the dog, etc.Wonderful, I binged. Of course. Highly recommend.
View MoreI am not a racist, nor a sexist. but I really do not understand why the show got so high rating as long as i am considered on Netflix and on IMDb.I am not a criticizer but actually could not be silent in this case. Could not stand meanness and lameness of the main roles, their rude and not good feeling jokes of the movie. The main roles are very immature and honestly are mean. Especially Grace is the worst female role I have ever seen. She is mean, rude, narcissistic and selfish. Josh is a caring, good son who has many good qualities. He is very smart and has strong opinions. But Josh is actually a selfish people pleaser. AS long as somebody is wiling to kiss him, he is ready to betray both his own and the partners feelings. He is worse than a an needy girl.Josh s friend Tom is the most selfish, passive guy. Why girls keep falling for him and keep being treated as a mess by him? My brain maybe is one of those who do not understand real British comedy. I really have no idea why this series is so high rated and what message it supposed to deliver? Cold and mean behaviour is the key of friendship?
View MoreWas put on to this show by a friend, and just loved it. From the beginning of the first episode you get a sense of the style of humor and Josh and his friends will have you laughing. But the plot lines are really serious matters told in a funny way. Just dive in and enjoy it, I can't say enough good things about it. While it has a gay lead character, I wouldn't call this a "Gay" show - I think anyone would love it. Seasons 1-3 are available on Canadian Netflix and this show is perfect to binge watch. Love the different love interests for Josh, shows such a great dynamic of different relationships. But the most important relationship of the show will always be between Josh and Tom. And the last thing I'll mention is the food - each episode is titled after something they cook or eat in that episode. Brilliant!
View MoreIf you like Amelia, Transparent etc you'll love this. Great soundtrack, funny and quirky. It's also quite moving at times. The characters are great and you warm to them all. It gets better as you go along, so stick with it. I'm at season three and liking it the most so far. A real gem. So glad I found it. I'm really enjoying every episode so far. Also tackles themes of homosexuality and mental health in a revealing way.Jump in and watch it. It'll make you feel a bit more relaxed about life. It's sometimes so funny the actors appear to be genuinely laughing.
