A Brilliant Conflict
I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.
View MoreThe film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.
View MoreAn old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.
View MoreYou wingnuts are an embarrassment to the IBEW. Even if your incompetence is scripted by the show, you look like idiots. Wrecking trucks, losing poles, not wearing hardhats, wrecking snowmobiles... really? No wonder they picked Alaska for this group of losers. You'd never make it down here.So you tested the line dead and when you ground you say "Here goes nothing." What does that mean? Are you saying there's a risk? You tested the line dead. There is no risk now. "Here goes nothing." YOU are nothing.Every REAL lineman is laughing at you sellouts.
View MoreI noticed proof in episode two that this show is scripted. When the guy walks out of the office and punches out the drivers side window of the pick up truck in anger, there is a camera shot from INSIDE the truck showing the guys fist coming through the window, the window breaking, and the glass falling into the truck toward the camera. Unless that scene was scripted, there's no way that the cameraman could have known that he was going to do that. Also, the window was rolled down a little bit, making it much easier to break by punching it. Lastly, the truck looks to be worn out and old and you can briefly see the inside of the door. It appears that the inside door panel has been removed, leading one to believe that this was an old truck that they picked to use just for this scene.
