Perfectly adorable
A different way of telling a story
A bit overrated, but still an amazing film
In other words, this film is a surreal ride.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was popular in the 1990s.Its true beginning started in 1975 as a children's show called Super Sentai.Years later producer Haim Sabam decided to bring Super Sentai to America in a show called Power Rangers which combined Japanese action footage with completely American footage that looked like a rip off of Saved By The Bell.Power Rangers has got to be one of the worst rip offs in history and Haim Saban should be embarrassed.Watch the original super sentai shows Zyuranger, Dairanger, and Kakuranger instead and see how much better than the awful power rangers rip off.
View MoreThe 1990s was a great decade for TV and many children who grew up in the 90s can say we had the best TV shows live action or animation it was all impressive in their own right However there is one show that in 1993 made it debut and the kids ate it up like it was the biggest thing ever and that show would be Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.I remember when I was Seven when I turn into the first episode "Day Of The Dumpster" I quickly became a fan of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. The series begin when Zordon and his assistant Alpha 5 recruited five normal teenagers to assist him in his battles with Rita Repulsa (Voiced by Barbara Goodson)These five teenagers would become known as The Power Rangers The first team were Jason The Red Ranger (Austin St.John), Kimberly The Pink Ranger (Amy Jo Johnson),Billy The Blue Ranger (David Yost),Zack The Black Ranger (Walter Jones) ) and Trini The Yellow Ranger (Thuy Trang) After "Green With Evil" Mini Series and their battle with Tommy The Green Ranger (Jason David Frank) he reforms and becomes part of the team. In season 2 after losing his powers as the Green Ranger he would later become the White RangerLater in season 2 Jason, Trini and Zack would be replace by Aisha (Karan Ashley) Adam (Johnny Yong Bosch) Rocky (Steve Cardenas) as the Yellow, Black and Red Rangers respective. Throughout the first season the Rangers would battle Rita Goldar and her monsters whenever they would turn into Giants The Rangers would call for their Zords that could combine to form the Megazord. Then later in season 2 as replace by Lord Zedd (Voiced by Robert Axelrod) When the teens are not dealing with monsters they are dealing with the bullies Bulk (Paul Schrier) and Skull (Jason Narvy). Some of my favorite episodes of the series as a kid were "Day Of The Dumpster" "Power Ranger Punks" "Foul Play in the Sky" "Green With Evil" "Gung Ho!" "Island Of Illusion" "Calamity Kimberly" "The Green Candle" "A Bad Reflection of You" "Return of a Old Friend" "Football Season" "Mighty Morphin' Mutants" "The Mutiny" "The Wanna-Be Ranger" "Bloom of Doom" "White Light" "The Wedding" "Return of the Green Ranger" "Wild West Rangers" The series best feature is the fight scenes when the Rangers took on the monsters then they form the Megazord and you know it would be a power fight and as a Kid I was looking forward to the battle with Megazord. The series mix action, comedy, drama that make it a hit with kids and it got into your emotions there were times that I got emotional at the show that I still remember how hard it hit me.It's just amazing to me how far Mighty Morphin Power Rangers rise to the top of the super hero arena in a time when Super heroes were very much the top dogs in the children department. The series just made itself a legend
View MoreI used to watch this show as a kid and as I grew up (I'm 18 years old) I still love it for it's cheesy, but nostalgic value that captivated me from the past few years along with all of the new seasons, although some of them weren't nearly as excellent as that show. The characters, the main five power rangers, were great and likable thanks to the acting, the morphing sequences, although cheesy, were decent, the action between the rangers and the monsters they have to face were enjoyable to watch especially the megazord fight sequences. The main villains are also pretty good too. Rita, although annoying, was OK, but Lord Zedd is very interesting with his menacing presence and the sidekicks were hilarious for the show's comic relief moments. The reason why I'm giving this a 9/10 is because the third season's episodes were quite weak, but not completely unwatchable while the first two seasons were creative and interesting with lots of great character-development between the main characters. Overall, not excellent, but I've seen much worse TV shows. This show will always be watchable for children and PR fans will never forget this nostalgia classic.
View MoreThis Power Rangers show has been around for a while. I was even an extra in the Australian filmed Power Rangers: The Movie of 1995! So I have had an up close look and feel of this production. Many say the much later New Zealand filmed Power Rangers shows are crap, and while I agree the series has gone on for too long, I am still able to watch the New Zealand shows when I am not feeling too demanding.Last night I watched some of the old 1993 shows and I must may say they stand the test of time rather well. I am an adult with childish viewing tastes and I feel television always needs a series filled with action, monsters, humour and crazy young people. Power Rangers, both 1990s stuff and 2000s stuff, really does provide that.Note: Power Rangers Turbo/PR In Space are a knockout!
