    Absolutely Fantastic

It’s an especially fun movie from a director and cast who are clearly having a good time allowing themselves to let loose.

a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.

Rich Hall and fellow comedian Mike Wilmot seek refuge from the hustle and bustle of everyday big city life and spend some time just relaxing and fishing out on the Scottish lakes. As they fish on the banks and on the dock of some picturesque lakes they chat about a range of subjects and generally put the world to rights. If you have never heard of Rich Hall then, a) you're missing out and b) chances are you will enjoy this show. The series relies heavily on his world-weary style of humour - it is not to everyone's taste but I personally love it and I have been to see him twice as himself or his creation Otis Lee Crenshaw. Here there is really not much to the series - basically he just talks through issues ranging from politics to travel with his usual wit. It is not as funny or sharp as his stand up material can be, but it is still pretty funny.Hall is great in the show, if anything he struggles a little with the structure and feels over-edited here, but he is still a naturally funny guy. Wilmot is less funny. He feels quite like he was added to the series just to give someone for Hall to actually talk to rather than just talking to the audience. He is not given a fair share of the material and he really pales beside Hall. Guest spots are reasonably interesting but really, this is Hall's show and it is him that carries it.Overall this is a good show that I enjoy mainly because I really enjoy Hall and his rather acerbic style of humour. Even though Wilmot is weak, Hall is able to carry the show and the material plays like a slightly less sharp version of his stand up show. Worth seeing unless you really have something against Hall.
