While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.

The movie is made so realistic it has a lot of that WoW feeling at the right moments and never tooo over the top. the suspense is done so well and the emotion is felt. Very well put together with the music and all.

The new rebooted 2018 version of Roseanne made a good and courageous effort of addressing important issues; such as Islam in America, with a touching moment of Roseanne defending her Muslim neighbor in Episode 7.Pity the show got cancelled; even if it was justified, due to a racist tweet from its star, Roseanne Barr, which has led to ABC pulling the show.Realistic working-class voices on TV are very important; even if it means addressing issues that are uncomfortable to some established members of society; such as poverty, unemployment, Trump support and right-wing politics; the harmful mutual demonisation of left and right politics in America certainly restricting constructive political debate in America these days. Should ABC forgive Roseanne Barr for the tweet which was unquestionably dogwhistle racism? In my opinion, yes. Perhaps humble her a bit more, but a second 'reboot' attempt of the TV show might be the way to go here; to encourage political debate, soul-searching and analysis of important social-political challenges in America.

Of course - it was dead to me weeks ago anyways. How the HECK can the producers bring back a show with the complete OPPOSITE message of when this show was good?Years ago, Roseanne had character and dignity and self respect - and she obviously was one of the REAL people, one of the common working folk - and this showed in the love that came out of the OLD show.What kind of insanity brings back the show and craps all over the point of view of the original show? It's clearly obvious that Roseanne the Hollywood star has had her mind destroyed by wealth and luxury and excess. She now shows no respect for the real working people, and she shows her absolute insanity by parroting completely crazy conspiracy theories.Now anybody who has followed Roseanne the person, will likely remember that she's been on TV talking about being diagnosed with at least one form of mental illness. I can't really remember if it was Schizophrenia. I think it was.The new season of this garbage show leaks this insanity out all over the screen. It is everything that is wrong with America these days.Stay gone Roseanne. We don't want to hear from you again.

I thought i would get that nostalgic feeling of watching this beloved classic but it is just politically charged and racist. Not the Roseanne i know. Its like the show completely disregarded her character that they spent years creating! I had to stop watching it at the latest episode where Roseanne is fearful of her Muslim neighbors and assumes that they're terrorists! How is this in any way funny or entertaining?! Her character has been completely ruined. Im very disappointed by this

I am very troubled by the existence of this show. Programmed astroturfers will surely leap at the opportunity to call me "triggered" or whatever, but that is meaningless. Where the original was pointed and pertinent, this re-bake is thin, lazy, and goes for the cheap stupid laugh. Jokes are flat and rely on easy labels, overstating divisions and making cliche cartoons out of everyone. And how did they get John Goodman to go along? Everyone else I can believe was desperate enough, but surely he had better things to do? No? Very sad indeed. Gone is the brilliant mind that gutted the maniacal rich and their creepy DC stooges, replaced by a MAGA-hatted sneering nobody with nothing whatsoever to say. It's like a Stepford Wife version of the original, an empty-eyed lapdog where there was once great TV.Entirely unwatchable. edit: wow, is there a live person editing the comments here? So many things copy-pasted multiple times, and all the obvious 10/10s: bot heaven. The abundant 1-stars are real, believe them.
