Very Cool!!!
Really Surprised!
A Brilliant Conflict
The movie is made so realistic it has a lot of that WoW feeling at the right moments and never tooo over the top. the suspense is done so well and the emotion is felt. Very well put together with the music and all.
View MoreCartoon Network's dedicated team of lunatics, misfits and stoners at Adult Swim take hold of a staid, stodgy ancient cartoon (SeaLab 2020) and move it one year on to where the crew are bored, listless, and borderline insane...Dodgy animation loops blend perfectly with edgy humour (Sparks: "Like veal. But with BABIES. I'm talkin' reaalll baby back ribs here...") and the show pokes fun at just about every cartoon standard.Best of all is their take on the "evil twin" shtick, when the hideous mutant Bizarro versions of the crew show up. Simple yet genius - please let Adult Swim loose in the UK...
View MoreWhen "Sealab 2020" was made in 1972, environmentalism was sweeping the nation. We also though that colonies on the Moon or in the ocean were around the corner. Hanna-Barbera combined these two things into the now forgotten series "Sealab 2020", a series that deserved oblivion due to it's intense preachiness. Some genius, remembering Woody Allen's "What's Up, Tiger Lily?" and the long forgotten 1980's show "Mad Movies", bought the rights, hired a cast, and began remixing the staid "2020" into "Sealab 2021." The name of the game for "Sealab 2021" is completely mocking the original series; the captain now has a fixation for an Easybake Oven, the radio guy wants to take over the world, the Erik Estrada-voiced Hispanic guy is a moron, and the French guy is now unintelligible (but comes with subtitles.) I think everyone is going nuts due to budget cutbacks, or maybe they've been watching too much "Aqua Teen Hunger Force." At any rate, it's a good excuse to stay up until 11:45pm on Sundays.
View MoreConsistently hysterical fifteen minute cartoon on the cartoon network. Arguably the funniest of the "Adult Swim" cartoons. References range from Jonathan Swift to the Incredible Hulk. Tends towards the surreal (especially "Waking Quinn"). Has far better comic timing than one would think possible with primarily recycled animation.
View MoreWhen i first saw this show i thought it was sealab 2020 (the 1972 show) but when the stormy's started hitting themselves in the head with sticks, that made me do a double take.Sealab 2021 is a hilarious show about a research crew that is....get this...under the sea! some people dislike this show because the animation is choppy, and the series has absolutely NO contuinity. alas, those people miss the point. the cartoon is a "video remix" of the original Sealab 2020 tv show. its quick, dirty, and insane. CN made a good move by keeping it on Adult Swim, a lot of the younger crowd would miss the jokes.the music is great, the show has no remorse for the insanity it promotes, and the stories, while pointless, are quite compelling.if you have a chance, see it NOW! it's a gem and actually something original that cartoons have been missing for many years. personally i rate it right up there with Invader Zim as the best cartoons in the last 20 years."hesh wants sex!!" - just one of the many memorable quotes....till next time... ****a dodge ball slams in to Stryker2's head*** GOOYAH!
