    As Good As It Gets

    Merolliv

I really wanted to like this movie. I feel terribly cynical trashing it, and that's why I'm giving it a middling 5. Actually, I'm giving it a 5 because there were some superb performances.

There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

This show is a knockoff of a knockoff of a knockoff. Web clip review shows have been around forever and this is nothing new. However, they've thought of a new angle: Most of the "hosts" are not camera friendly. Huh? There are four or five unattractive guys and one hot girl. And some of them can barely talk on camera. They all have one other thing in common--not many professional credits. How did they cast this show? Pulling names out of a hat? The only thing I can think of is they got the cheapest people they could find, because this show has a budget of about $10. You'd be more entertained by reruns of Gilligan's Island.

If you like this, watch it with pizza and a couple of beers or whatever choice alcoholic beverage of your choice and just get into it. Featuring bizarre and often funny video clips with an added dose of commentary from one of the 5 hosts (Angie is HOT) of the show. I caught this on one dreary, rainy Sunday evening and really enjoyed it seeing a bunch of unlucky schmucks get into weird situations. What more can you do wrong? This is a perfect way to pass the time on a boring Sunday evening and is one of the best "shocking-videos-caught-on-tape" shows out there on network TV. Enjoy!!!
