Most undeservingly overhyped movie of all time??
Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.
View MoreThe film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
View MoreThrough painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
View MoreThe show is hilarious with touching moments and well written characters. My only issues are concerning all the negativity towards Ray (who seems to be the saddest, unluckiest kid on Earth). At least give the boy one lucky day it's becoming annoying. Yet he solves majority of the family conflicts. Also the mother is always overbearing towards JJ which is brilliant and cringing at the same time. She can be beautifully loving and tenaciously wicked in an instant. JJ and Kenneth are hilarious together. The father and Dylan are also an hilarious duo.
View MoreSo far, I have only seen the first episode of this show and I thought it was really good. It is about a family that has a child with a disability and the main plot is how they go about their daily business. This specific episode was about how the family moved to a new school so that JJ (one of the main characters) could have an aid in school. The basic message that this show is trying to convey is how hard life can be in a family like this and how other people treat the family. The other people in this episode treat this family differently because they think that the mom is crazy and so they approach the whole family with caution. I would recommend this show to anyone because it has a good message about advocacy while is entertaining to watch.
View MoreSo far I have only seen the first episode, but I am extremely impressed. There aren't many shows out today that shed light on disability etiquette quite like Speechless. The family is extremely easy to relate to and funny. The mother, played by Minnie Driver, fights the entire time for proper treatment for her son who has cerebral palsy. Because she fights so hard for her son to be treated properly, this has caused their family to move numerous times to find the right school for this. It creates tension among the rest of the family, but it will be interesting to see how they all adjust to this new environment they just moved into. The message behind the episode seemed to be that just because people may be living with a disability, it does not mean that they should not be treated like a normal person. It bothered me a bit when the son's class called him an "inspiration". Just because he has cerebral palsy, this does not mean that everything he does is a major feat. I did appreciate the mother's determination to get ramps put into the school. If people do not advocate for the access that everyone should have, it would never happen. If you have not watched Speechless yet, I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to both laugh and gain a bit of perspective on life with cerebral palsy.
View MoreThis show makes me literally laugh out loud. Love the guy who plays JJ's voice, Kenneth-great acting and perfect comedic timing. The comedy is not over the top and I feel the writers must have the same sense of humor as I do. Watched the episode today where the dad and Kenneth are trying to find something they have in common and it was my favorite so far.
