No surviving playmate centerfold has done more to ruin her career than Pamela Anderson. I hated Baywatch. Then there was the movie flop, Barbwire, where she was the female action hero who tortured evildoers with electrical shock. The booze, the drugs, and abusive Tommy Lee have made this 38 year old star of the show look a lot older than she is. But the show itself is stacked with glib, sophisticated writing of Murphy Brown caliber. It was a surprise that deserved to stay on TV more than a few seasons. But instead, it joined the ranks of popular show cancellations like Star Trek and Twin Peaks. Two stars under ten for aging Pamela as the cute blonde bimbo. There's just too much eye shadow and wrinkles on her face for the part. Give me a youthful pictorial of her to watch instead of this any day.

i knew this would never be anything like the good sitcoms like Frasier or Scrubs but i at least thought it may have a few laughs, but it doesn't.Pamela Anderson, makes fun out of herself, Christopher Lloyd is a fantastic actor (His character is okay) but basically the premise of the show is obvious- Pamela Anderson's assets (that's not her acting and personality) every scene was littered with references to her breasts and the whole idea of watching two book shop owners talk about sleeping with her, is cringe worthy. The characters have no depth, Katrina is just used so Skyler can look even better and make 'plainer' girls feel that life is crap, Gavin and Stuart are adolescents in grown up bodies and Christopher Lloyd is out of place.Everything is 2 dimensional, loud, ignorant and superficial, everyone freely shouts about their sex life to a crowded bookstore and the acting is mediocre. The only good bit is the idea of a bookstore and using chapters as a scene opener, they should never make anything like this again, i tried watching it again recently, to give it another chance, but i didn't laugh once and felt my I.q plummet considerably, i know you could say it's just a bit of fun, but if it is, why aren't i laughing?

    (1) The show will shatter many expectations. It certainly did mine. After all, since when was Pamela Anderson known to be a comedic attraction? I mean she HAS been an attraction for many years now, but not once for humor-related reasons. Many times, it's very difficult for humans to let go of prejudgments or prejudices, and I am no exception. To be honest, the first moment I heard Pamela Anderson was in a sitcom I thought, "Hmm, I give it a week". Hopefully, and very hopefully, this is nowhere close to what will happen. If audiences give Stacked just one chance, I feel the show will stay on the air for a very long time. And that's the first reason to be excited about this show: it's a lot, lot better than you thought it would be. Forget your prejudgments. Forget anything about Pamela. This show is very funny. It's very, very funny. It's no "Scrubs" yet, but it's surely on the right path. That's the first reason to be excited about this show: it's funny, a lot funnier than you would expect it to be. From the very first few episodes, the show steered clear from the usual cliché's that many new shows have to start with as some sort of much-unneeded TV ritual. The show is a bit original in its plots, which is hard to say these days. Case in point: the episode about being a 'groupie' and being 'passed around'. Interesting, and funny.(2) The second reason to be excited about this show is that Elon Gold, one of the primary cast members, finally has a show to star in. If you're not familiar with Elon, I advise you not to miss any chance to see his standup comedy routines. I've seen him only ONCE on the Tonight Show and he had me rolling on the floor with laughter. His material was excellent and his impersonations of David Schwimmer and Jeff Goldblum should not be watched by those who had any recent abdominal surgeries. I feel he's going to be a major comedy star one day. And this is the perfect start to spring from.(3) The third reason to be excited about this show is a 'new' cast member I've never seen before: Brian Scolaro. This is the first time I've ever seen him, and I would be surprised if someone blamed me for prejudging sitcom newcomers as mostly amateurish, predictable and overly self-burdened with one cliché after another. This guy is totally awesome. He's an amazing deadpan comedian. Personally, it's slightly annoying if a sitcom comedian smiles as he/she delivers the line. A serious face (especially when delivering an annoyed, sad or fearful line), a deadpan face, that's good comedy. And he makes you laugh with his deadpan face (since he's annoyed and harassed most of the time by the unfairness of life, the old guy, and other things) as much as he does with his well-written lines (a classic already is the last line in the 'Groupie' episode). My advice to all you TV, comedy, sitcom, whatever fans out there: watch...this...show. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

I'm the kind of person who likes strong ensemble comedies with wit and the occasional farce, like "Frasier", "Taxi", "Seinfeld", "Everybody Loves Raymond", etc.. So when I heard about "Stacked", I had my doubts as to how funny it could be. Pamela Anderson...is it possible for her to be intentionally funny? I figured I would watch the first episode if, for nothing else, to see the genius of Christopher Lloyd and the spunk of Marissa Jaret Winokur. They did not disappoint, and the show had me laughing out loud in bits where those actors weren't even present.Basically, this is a surprisingly smart show. Anderson has the ability to poke fun at herself and not take everything so seriously. She knows she's not Olivier, and she doesn't try to be something she isn't. Maybe that's why I found the character so endearing. Winokur has great delivery, and a gift for physical comedy. Scolaro and Gold are deft comedians, who know how to wring the humor out of their lines and expressions. Lloyd is great and proves he can still make you laugh without even opening his mouth. His slightly grumpy retired physicist character is the perfect foil to everyone else.If you come into watching this show with an open mind, you'll like it. If you come into it with a hatred for all things Pamela Anderson, you could easily find yourself surprised at her charm and the wit of the show. If your head is so far stuck up your butt in your prejudices, then you wouldn't like this, even if it were Oilivier performing "Hamlet". Bottom line: this show is a lot better than the unfunny formula comedies littering the airwaves right now ("Joey", "Freddie", basically anything where the title is someone's name) and has a strong cast, solid acting, witty writing and the potential to be a great show.
