Terrible acting, screenplay and direction.

This is a tender, generous movie that likes its characters and presents them as real people, full of flaws and strengths.

Clever, believable, and super fun to watch. It totally has replay value.

I love this series, and every one of the Stargate series. I started watching in season 7, but quickly went back and binged every episode on DVD (netflix wasn't a thing yet). I now own all of SG1 and SGA. I've watched every episode of SG1 at least 5 times, SGA about 3 times, and SGU about twice. I think I'm pretty much obsessed with this series.

I love this show and watch the reruns all the time. It has better plot lines and stories than the Star Trek series - all of them. Although Enterprise had some good story lines in it. It's very original and I love the way they use Ancient Egypt as a plot device. It never gets old.

1/25/17. I've been a fan for quite some time and, on occasion, go to SG 1 to find some of the common sense/logic so absent in daily life. The writing has always been good, but I re watched "Heroes" again as was particularly impressed with all the performance of an outstanding script and edit. From Carters eulogy, the voice-over of the finished file in Hammonds office and his response to it is especially impactful. It would be nice if a YouTube clip could be made for current public viewing in light of the recent changes of political administrations. (which is why I dated this). I hesitate to use the word perfect in anything except now.... for this story. Honor, respect, compassion, integrity are all present and palpable. It is so well done it should not be lost to history as it will always be relevant. Thank you.

I grew up with this series and I've always adored .If I had to push someone to watch this series I would not know where to start ...Maybe I 'd start talking about the concept. A series sci-fi , but with some differences compared to the other (Star Trek at all). Stargate is set in the present , not a future or in a distant galaxy , they are our contemporaries who are confronted with aliens.Then maybe I would speak of the change of the series, the first series in which the main theme was the exploration of worlds to the later seasons , when the individual episodes become more a succession of phases of a larger story .I'd also note the various xenology, with goau'd : parasites at the head of a feudal system galactic, ancient, superior beings of energy alone, the genius of the Asgard , the peaceful but powerful Nox, and so in addition to these main dozens of other species are very different and well characterized .How not to talk about the characters, made ​​really well, never too overdone , with real human relationships and not forced.
