It’s an especially fun movie from a director and cast who are clearly having a good time allowing themselves to let loose.

it is the rare 'crazy' movie that actually has something to say.

The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.

Your blood may run cold, but you now find yourself pinioned to the story.

It's kinda a throw away episode I admit, which is probably the only reason I don't give it 10 stars. Michael Shanks gets to play two characters in two different bodies so he's almost playing four characters. Richard Dean Anderson and Christopher Judge get to play each other which is a total delight! It's sad that Amanda Tapping didn't get in on the fun but it's understandable why they had to leave her out. Even though the events of this episode are brought up once or twice after, it's mostly useless to the overall arc of the series, but it's a great character episode. You get to see the 3 male characters in different form and see how Sam is both abused and concerned by the situation while she acts as the teams rock. Overall I think that I like this episode better than most in what has always been one of my favorite series. It's fun but has tender moments and helped showcase the main actors range. Good watch!

1/25/17. I've been a fan for quite some time and, on occasion, go to SG 1 to find some of the common sense/logic so absent in daily life. The writing has always been good, but I re watched "Heroes" again as was particularly impressed with all the performance of an outstanding script and edit. From Carters eulogy, the voice-over of the finished file in Hammonds office and his response to it is especially impactful. It would be nice if a YouTube clip could be made for current public viewing in light of the recent changes of political administrations. (which is why I dated this). I hesitate to use the word perfect in anything except now.... for this story. Honor, respect, compassion, integrity are all present and palpable. It is so well done it should not be lost to history as it will always be relevant. Thank you.

I did not have the opportunity to see this series in past. But after watching two seasons I must say I quite liked it.Considering the time line of the series, it appears that many of the proceeding SciFi series and films have borrowed ideas from SG-1 (and possibly SG-1 from the previous one like Startreck).For example the famous film Matrix has the same idea of an episode of SG-1 season 2. People are attached to life maintenance devices, and the device produces a virtual reality world for those people.I am a scientist and I enjoy and look forward to new ideas (to base research work) and this series was very interesting.

Stargate SG-1 starts very well, picking up where the movie ended and keeping the action rolling. The re-casts are excellent, the chemistry well done.It does start positively dark with humans acting from a position of desperation while trying to uphold some moral standard.However during the cause of the series - the show degrades - up to and including a point well past its sell date - so to speak. When the humans grow stronger, the enemies become weaker - and new enemies, while quite strong - just don t do it just as well as the original ones, the show becomes kind of a chore.It all breaks down past season 7 - along with a recast of the lead roles. At that point it becomes kind of aimless. While the Ori are a good enemy in terms of lore, the storytelling just is not as good as it used to be - and the characters are too archetypal, too one-sided-cartoonish.in retrospect it may have done the series well to close the goa uld story much much earlier - and expand on the ancient / ori story a lot more.
