From my favorite movies..
if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.
View MoreThis is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
View MoreThere is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
View MoreI loved the first episode and liked the second episode a lot also. It's the team from Conan's show with an old fat woman added in who is great. I can't complain at all since I'm a Triumph fan. I mean, there seem to be a lot of haters on IMDb (if you look at the message board for people too lazy to add a review) but the overall score of the show is above 7 so that's really good. What are the alternatives on Adult Swim? They go to Satan worship a lot, or Christian bashing, or red neck bashing, or bashing baby boomer cartoons (that's always funny but repetitive after a decade plus). This is one show that did what I wrote about before, bash some hipsters, and they did a little. I'm on-board. Throw in some S word profanity (I wonder if that is pushing the limit? And if not why the other AS shows have not used it yet?) Some T&A, some gay bashing, liberal bashing, Hollywood bashing, I hope the show pays off for them! It's funny! Oh and it has some animal humor (cats) in it also, reminiscent of TV Funhouse which I LOVED! If you have never seen the 2 part TV Funhouse with Robert Goulet you have to watch it, totally hilarious! Good luck with the show and ratings! I'm giving it a 10.
View MoreAn annoying "canned laughs" soundtrack runs every 2-3 seconds, indicating the pun of numerous infantile 'jokes'. Expect Mostly scatological and sexual references +attempts+ at humor. Expect monkey-on-drugs scripts. The sets appear to be surprisingly decent for a show of such low quality. -Curiously I noticed no homosexual humor references, which Jack McBrayer just begs for. IMHO, this show is another in a series of Adult Swim blunders, exerting enormous effort to sink and drown themselves . People say laugh is infectious, this show proves the contrary. Unless you have the mind of a 9 yr old or happen to be tripping balls. I am sure crack/meth heads will give it 2 thumbs up.
View MoreNot that anyone expected anything better, but this show is the same insensitive tripe that Adult Swim has been regurgitating all over Cartoon Network's late hours for years. I'm ridiculously disappointed that Jack McBrayer is part of this (I am a huge fan of his voice acting performances in Wreck-It Ralph and Wander Over Yonder) and I can only hope that this was a decision he made out of desperation or because his manager made him. Here's to praying that this show doesn't make it past the first painful season and we can all pretend that it never happened. PS, when is someone going to tell Adult Swim that their raunchy humor isn't funny?
View MoreA friend told me about this as I had not heard of it. So I looked it up and was surprised by so many 'critics' negative comments on other websites. This is a low budget insult comedy program on a cable channel --- what do the critics want? We have Triumph (a rubber puppet dog) and his silly family. It's all about the insults the story is secondary. It's sort of like the Jack & Triumph version of Mamma's Family! You just gotta go with it and enjoy.I luved it and will be watching again! The insults were fired off fast and furious - as only Triumph can do. I hope they can keep up the goofy silliness that made the first show so funny. ------------- To date (Mar 29, 2015) I have watched all six episodes of Jack & Triumph and I have luved every one of them!!
