I like the storyline of this show,it attract me so much
View MorePurely Joyful Movie!
There is just so much movie here. For some it may be too much. But in the same secretly sarcastic way most telemarketers say the phrase, the title of this one is particularly apt.
View MoreExactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.
View MoreIt was a great premise, a guiding light surviving in a sea of despair, but the problem with this show is that it plays more like a old school network show than modern shows that have ongoing plots that is more interested in world building (aka: Game of Thrones, Westworld, Walking Dead). The first four episodes are not concerned about the broader problem but the issues that the ship faces. It leads to the first four episodes being tedious, boring and petty. We learn literally nothing of the outside world as the crew of the ship takes pains not to interact with it. So all the episodes are filled with self-contained "quests" like getting food, solving engine problems, finding monkeys to try a potential cure on, things that are not interesting during a global pandemic. It doesn't help that most of the characters are boring, one dimensional and uninteresting. If you say stuff like "Well the new Lost in Space show acts the same way", you would be right, but they interact with the world and we get to see a bigger picture. It is also gorgeous to look at and is filmed very well.I'm not sure if the show gets better, but I am soon about to sink this Last Ship.
View MoreI loved every episode of the first three seasons and will watch it again with my husband. Fast-paced action and great writing. After the first few episodes you will not sleep until the last episode in Season 3. Season 4 should be out the summer of 2018 and I am awaiting the premier with eager anticipation.Kate, I am with you, can't understand the haters. This is a fiction show - the definition of fiction is 'invention or fabrication as opposed to fact.' If you want total fact, look for a non-fiction documentary. The show is a breath of fresh air compared to other new shows out there. The casting is excellent in my opinion and the patriotism of the characters - to their country - is what every American should feel and desire. The captain is amazing and I would be extremely proud to be serving under such a man and to fight for my country and world peace. Eric Dane is amazing. Especially love John Pyper-Ferguson along with Rhona Mitra - all of actors make an excellent cast.Waiting for Season 4!
View Morethe last ship is one of the best TV show i have ever seen and is intoxicating.....and Eric Dane is really amazing....very happy to hear the news that season 5 is coming....eagerly waiting for the season.... it is among the few TV show where every cast left a everlasting impression to the viewers.....i am writing this review after seeing the season 4 and has the same magic on me as it is in the beginning.....
View MoreWhat can I say, From the 1st viewing of this show to the most recent on a weekly basis, Its like a world wide "NAM MAN", The glory of the Americans saving the world (world police?), to the pretty honest depiction of a truly moralistic individual who will fight for the human race to survive.I can not help but feel this is a "rocky" of the navy world where America is on a crusade to help everyone, and close allies like Brits are somewhat painted as a semi criminal who may swing either way, (typical i understand from the fact the only real enemy they face in battle is Britain from centuries ago)The lead roles, although presented well from some fantastic acting, has its downfalls from one could say poor scripts. A show that is aimed to the American public and not the world wide viewers that is needed today.
