Good concept, poorly executed.
This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.
View MoreThe movie is wonderful and true, an act of love in all its contradictions and complexity
View MoreIt really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
View More*** This review may contain spoilers ***A Foot in Mouth: Brutally Honest Review.***Contains Spoilers***When I first discovered this show I genuinely thought, this is a TVS show about an ambulance driver who is a telepath who help the police solve crimes and murders, what were the writers smoking? But I was interested because it sounded so strange, no more odd, no more surreal, no err more orange, sorry.I was right to like this show because it was fantastic. Toby our protagonist is a very likable character, he is very well portrayed along with his best mate Oz. These two characters are the heart and soul of the series. As the show develops and grows their relationship shines through. The concept of the show is interesting and opens up a world of possibilities. Sadly the show was cancelled after season 5, but I encourage you to see it as it is brilliant with some very interesting story lines and some excellent character growth. I really enjoyed this program and would love it if they brought it back. The chemistry between the characters and the performances are very well executed along with some beautifully funny moments along with some dark and sinister plots the balance is handled very well.
View MoreThis show is so stupid that I can't believe it was ever even made in the first place. He worked as an ambulance driver and then after an accident he discovers that he has the ability to read people's minds? Really? How stupid is that. The comedy in the show is really bad but that is brilliant compared to most of this show, the stupid plots concerning this mind reading health care worker who can tell what guilty people are thinking and use that to bring them to justice.Avoid this show, it will make you stupider.
View MoreThey start off the first season by introducing an unorthodox story line featuring Toby, the paramedic who can read minds. They could have easily gone with Toby the police officer, which would have been the logical choice, but they didn't. This added a different dimension to the show that made it refreshing in my opinion. They also introduced a "shrouded" past including a man whom came after his mother trying to abduct him and succeeding in taking his infant brother. This gave the show the needed mystery to get viewers hooked. At this point I would have given this show 9/10. However as soon as the second season started they abandoned the winning formula and turned Toby essentially into a police officer and ignoring all the plot development with his past that they had previously set up. This turn makes this show a disappointment but a worthwhile watch if you are interested in police dramas.
View MoreI have read a few good reviews about the show, but I would have to say it is not very good. It seems to confuse the different "gifts" that he may have. From the beginning it seemed like he was only telepathic, then it seemed he had a couple more abilities than that. That is not my biggest problem though. To me, it is a very boring series that may try to copycat many others. Really, it's just boring. So many time i rolled my eyes. I have never made a review on this website before either. It seems as though they are very picky and critique everything you say. So I would say that a person's opinion does not seem to mean much anymore. Smile and bear it:)
