Sadly Over-hyped
The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
View MoreIt's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.
View MoreThrough painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
View MoreI honestly do not know how this sow got on the air. I have seen every episode. I work for a station that shows it in syndication. It is like going to the dentist every time I have to run this show. I will never know how this show even got on the air. It is like they rummaged through old 80's television scripts and cut and pasted a show together. It is the most UN funny show ever. And the acting on the show is awful, it really is to bad that most of these people think that they are actually good. I would rather be subjected to a Full house marathon, off all their episodes without being allowed to get up, then watch one episode of this that I wasn't being paid to run.
View MoreThe Parkers has stolen the hearts of many people throughout it's run on UPN on Monday nights. Now that it is in syndication I laugh with Nikki, Kim, and the gang every day. The Parkers is very entertaining and sometimes even educational(Not with Kim tough). My favorite episode was the episode when T found out his honey was HIV positive which also dealt with racism.I am hispanic but I feel identified with the African American community also. Monique's character Nikki, is not scared to speak her mind and I really think that's one of the reason why her character has been successful. The PArkers is the best show on UPN. No other show on UPN can make me laugh as much as the Parkers On a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a 9.
View MoreThe first season of the Parkers was the best season! The show went down just like most other black sitcoms. Those "very special" episodes, such as the episode where Chilli from TLC had HIV and Nikki found out that she was adopted were not good and ruined the fun of the show. It was funny when Countess Vaughn acted stupid. Very few people know that one of Countess Vaughn's boyfriends on the show was on a short lived sitcom called "Homeroom" when he was little. But when she acted serious, then the show was not funny at all. Also the series finale was so predictable. Everyone knew since the first episode that The Professor was going to marry Nikki Parker. That whole entire plot was stolen by "A Different World." It would have been neat if the ending would have been like "Who's The Boss?"
View MoreIf your looking for an intelligent or funny show THIS SHOW IS NOT FOR YOU. Each episode is poorly constructed, consisting of terrible "jokes" (if you can call them jokes) and even worse plot lines. The creators attempt to pull you in, but at the end you realize you dont give a DARN about the way these people's live turn out. The actors in the show are the supporting actors from the B-List show Mowesha, so you can be sure that they wouldnt last 1 second in any real theatre, let alone a show created for who knows who. This show doesnt seem to have a propor demographic, the characters seem to go to a college, but dont even have the IQ's to be a janitor in one. All in all, i suggest that if this isn't the only show on, watch somthing else, and if it is TURN OFF YOUR TV and curl up with a good book. I give this show a big 0 out of 10.Owen Smith
