Tied for the best movie I have ever seen

    TrueHello

Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.

One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.

It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...

I swear this is like the "Princess Diaries" with a twist, Sunako is being taught by her four beautiful guy cousins to become a lady. However she's very much a goth and pretty much a wannabe outcast so this makes the boys finding it hard to get the message across to her. It honestly didn't make things better because whenever they comfort her, they usually run away. Though the blond cousin took an interest to her then the others and I swear I hate saying this, I think he and Sunako would be such a great match together. I mean, the black haired cousin had a lady friend, then why not Sunako and Kyouhei become a couple too??!I was so cheesed off that they had a cliffhanger involved in this, I was so wanting to find out if they became a couple! This anime was brilliant and hilarious, I'll give it a 8/10!

At first when I watched this anime because I was bored. After the first couple of episodes, my first thoughts were, this is so weired. Nose bleeds, the dazzling creature theme and the talking medical mannequin.... But ones you get past that and carry on watching the show, it really begins to grow on you. Not only it is charming in its own way, but it is really funny. The storyline is silly but the I guess that is the whole point. It revolves around five main characters four beautiful guys and one strange Gothic girl, with them trying to make her into a lady, which is not really the point, they just trying to boost her confidence after she had an unfortunate experience with the boy she liked when she was in junior high school who called her ugly when she confessed her love for him. Along the way the characters become attached to each other, one of the best things within the show is when someone tries to harm the four boys who are in charge of looking after Nakahara Sunako (the gloomy girl), she transforms into this amazing but-kicking ninja. It is light-hearted and witty, if you are looking for a good laugh this show is for you.

The Wallflower: Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge is a very charming anime and manga series, with beautiful artwork and fun characters. The theme songs are especially amazing, having been sung by the amazing artist Kiyoharu (a favorite of the manga's artist, Tomoko Hayakawa). The plot centers on four very handsome young men - Kyouhei, Takenaga, Ranmaru and Yuki - who live in a lavish mansion. Their glamorous landlady decides to strike a deal with them one day: she'll let them live rent free if they can succeed in turning her reclusive niece, Sunako, into a lady, a Yamato Nadeshiko. If they should fail, however, she'll triple their rent. The boys think nothing of this, believing it will be a piece of cake, until they meet Sunako in person. Sunako is obsessed with darkness and has a morbid fascination with bloody horror movies, and avidly collects skulls and anatomical models. She also hates beautiful people, whom she refers to as "creatures of light" and suffers from extremely low self-esteem, even though she herself is strikingly beautiful (when she's not in chibi form, that is).The series focuses on the boys desperately trying to get Sunako to become more self-confident and embracing of beauty, while Sunako tries to resist their efforts. However, as the series progresses, Sunako begins to realize her own inner beauty and has her old views on beauty challenged, while the boys learn to accept Sunako and other more unique things. This series is very charming and humorous, and always has a good laugh here and there. I'll admit that I find the manga (which is still ongoing) to be better, but the anime still holds up well. The characters all have some kind of human flaw (Sunako's lack of confidence, Kyouhei's snappy temper, Takenaga's shyness, Ranmaru's lack of morals, and Yuki's fear of strange things) and they're all likable in some way. I'll generally recommend The Wallflower to anyone who loves shoujo stuff, or generally just loves to look at really pretty bishounen.
