One of my all time favorites.

Absolutely the worst movie.

Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.

Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.

I like very much of season 1, 9 stars to me. Season 2 is too bad. I wish not see the season 2, 2 or 1 star to me. Avg: 6 to both.

I'm talking about season 2 here , it's so bad it cant be serious ? The terrible acting is quite funny , is it a comedy ? I hope that was the intention of the writers ? The exaggerated stereotypes ,it's ridiculous , they are like pantomime characters.

I was hoping for something as stellar as the original Top of the Lake. Sadly, China Girl missed the mark for me. And it had such potential! I can't complain about the acting...overall, the actors performed well. But, the actors can't be blamed for a storyline that is full of gaps and characters that come across as one dimensional.I wanted to love it...but just didn't.

Bought the DVD as we were looking for something to watch during the summer when not much else on. The fact we spent £10 on the DVD is the only reason we watched to the end. Truly lost for words at how ridiculous the plot is and how weak the characters are. The acting by Elizabeth Ross was really poor - I expected more from her after seeing the handmaids tale.
