Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.

Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.

I was first made aware of V as a 9 year old kid. I started out on the weekly series which, while compelling to a child in the 80s, was pretty ridiculous. When I finally saw the original mini-series, I was blown away. We see a ton of different characters and families and how, as the story progresses, they are united, devided and forced to make difficult choices. The sci-fi element is really downplayed as that is not the main issue. Some of the effects don't quite stand the test of time, but I have yet to see laser blasts to rival those in V. I would like to especially heap praise on Faye Grant and Michael Wright who really impress in their respective roles. But pretty much every actor delivers and over-achieves. I would give this the highest recommendation and advice everyone to avoid the 2010 re-make. Can't wait for the movie.

"The Incredible Hulk" creator Kenneth Johnson hit gold again with this excellent TV film about alien invaders who ostensibly arrive on Earth in peace, but really have a sinister agenda.Marc Singer("The BeastMaster") plays our hero Mike Donovan, a journalist who becomes increasingly suspicious of the aliens, led by Diana(wonderfully played by Jane Badler) who is revealed to be...well, watch this to find out the true identity of the aliens! Faye Grant also plays a scientist named Julie, who joins Donovan in forming a resistance group to fight and expose the aliens' plans.Writer Ken Johnson cleverly portrays just how easy it would be for these invaders to ingratiate themselves in society, and fool the public with promises of miracle cures and shared technology. Sadly, I think it would be even easier to accomplish today with our media...Huge hit that led to a sequel a year later.

Aliens and their spaceships circle the major cities above the earth before they land. Of course, they have their real motives which are far more disastrous for us humans. They want our water and they need food but beneath their skins, lie an iguana and lizardlike complexion. Not only that, they talk funny like with a second tongue. In this mini-series, they first appear friendly but they are deadly. It takes Marc Singer and Fay Grant to see through their phony lies and pretense regarding the aliens desire to maintain their existence. How will they fight aliens who are far more super technological than we are? With all the controversy regarding UFOs, it is no wonder why they are so afraid of turning up on earth and becoming lab experiments.

Hello, I need help from the V fans.. V is a series I used to watch as a teenager. i've been trying recently to obtain all the episodes and checked on Amazon and other sites. It seems that all the episodes of the "first season" so to speak (minus the first 2 that introduce the story) are missing from the market!!! Then we shift brutally to V, the complete series (1984), starting 1 year after the beginning of the story... My sister in Europe tried to buy me the first season for Christmas but couldn't find those missing episodes either. Does anybody know where i Can find them? thanks in advance for your help.ahaza
