Plot so thin, it passes unnoticed.
A Disappointing Continuation
The film may be flawed, but its message is not.
The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.
View MoreI don't understand or like this show at all. It's not funny at all and not only that but I just don't get what they are even trying to do. What is supposed to be interesting or funny about this show? I think the actors are fine but the writing and idea are so terrible they just have nothing to work with. This show is a real head scratch maker. Hate it a lot.
View MoreNever have I seen an ensemble comedy where all the main characters are equally unlikable. They have a love hate relationship with their children but for their careers it's love all the time. Without their careers, these women would be totally lost but without their kids...they'd hardly notice. Ditto the husbands, not a masculine one in the lot. The lesbian actually seems the kindest to the neutered males. And apparently all the characters are raunchy nymphomaniacs or were before marriage, no ladies among these foul mouthed narcissists. It's all about them.
View MoreI had high hopes for this series and after watching the first episode, I thought that the writers were at least attempting to address some of the issues facing working mothers. There were moments when I laughed simply because it was so much like my own life. The work/life balance parts were, more often than not, trying to point out the struggle we working moms face when we return to work after maternity leave. But the rest is so poorly written, snarky and mean that I just can't watch anymore. Episode after episode, it is full of lazy dialogue and stereotypes that should have disappeared long ago. Why are the stay-at-home moms continually ridiculed and made the butt of almost every joke? This is NOT how working moms behave. We struggle and we aren't perfect but we are not like this selfish, privileged and childish group of women. I am exactly the demographic that this show is trying to attract, but it has lost me. Maybe the downtown Toronto set can relate to this, but not the rest of us trying to raise kids, manage a full-time job and keep a household running on a middle class income.
View MoreJust when you are ready to dislike a character, boom, they show their vulnerability and you are hooked. This show makes it okay to not be a "perfect" mom or parent for that matter without making it into a soap opera. I want to meet all of the characters and have them come hang out!
