It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.

This is ultimately a movie about the very bad things that can happen when we don't address our unease, when we just try to brush it off, whether that's to fit in or to preserve our self-image.

Reading other reviews on IMD about this show, I had some decent expectations. I love the premise of people on a deserted island, and how they cope to survive. Wrapped up in a comedy blanket sounded too good to be true and it was.Someone described Wrecked as what would happen if a bunch of idiots were marooned on a uninhabited island and it is just that. Idiots. Each episode is about small minded personalities getting emotional about really insignificant things. The humour has no real wit, satire or parody. It is basically situational / toilet humour with a small bit of farce. The kind of people who would find this funny are those who laugh at fart jokes, swear words and people stupidly hurting themselves. What holds the show up however, is the characters are portrayed quite well, which is usually the case with episodic sit-coms. The plot idea's in general ( for a comedy ) are well conceived but lack the quantity and quality of jokes to call this show a real comedy. For someone who appreciates more sophisticated comedies, this one is not for you.

The writing is impeccable, I'm serious, this is a comedy TV show but it has better writers than 100+ million dollar movies. Rewatch value is through the roof, because the depth of the script is so insane. The directing/acting is also impeccable, most of the actors aren't super famous and I can't imagine better acting from anyone else for their roles. Literally every single character nails their part. The directing/sound effects and music are all on point, you cannot ask for more than this.On top of that, it's actually funny and entertaining for every microsecond of every episode, as they all deliver, all of the time.Everybody who had/has a part to play in making this show has my utmost thanks, this is what 10/10 stars is.The pilot itself was a masterpiece for the short time frame they had to introduce most characters, while still being hilarious. The show grows on you even more over time, watch as many episodes as you can back to back for the best enjoyment, as there is a lot of depth that is forgotten about if you watch episodes too far apart.

What I had thought would be a mediocre joke turned out as a well executed television comedy. The casting, script, and characters are some of the best work I've seen on cable television in a long time. The thing that made me appreciate this show is the choice of survivors the writers placed on the island. The crashed passengers feature many of the types you've seen in other TV shows and films, including the snappy hippie, insecure doctor, image-obsessed workaholic, dumb jock and the weird foreign guy with the fun accent. However, it's how they interact that makes the show feel fresh. Two of the more prominent characters are a male flight attendant afraid to stay in one place too long and a humble son of a billionaire who doesn't want to join the family business. The actors playing these roles have been thoughtfully cast and work well as the central "buddies" of the show. Pretty much every role has the right actor or actress to convey the absurdity that is the basis to each episode's plot. It's also nice to see a show can be this funny and not need to rely on any big names in Hollywood. Congratulations should go to TBS for seeing the worth in the script and not in the names of the producers or actors/actresses.

Its Lost meats Parks & Rec. Its silly but extremely funny and the characters are great. It also makes fun of other TV show stereo types and definitely makes fun of Lost. The plots for each episode are usually around something simple (whos suitcase full of dildos they found, deciding what movie to watch with 2h of battery that they have left on a DVD, etc) but what makes it funny is that they are stuck in the jungle and there are so many other things they should be worrying about but don't. The characters are well done so they pull off each episode well without seeming too silly. The characters are the best thing about this showI would recommend watching this if you need something lite and not too serious.
