ridiculous rating
It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.
View MoreIf you like to be scared, if you like to laugh, and if you like to learn a thing or two at the movies, this absolutely cannot be missed.
View MoreI enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
View More"3x3" is a live action short film from Portugal and probably the most known work from everybody involved. A watchman and a janitor spend some time on the basketball court and one of them manages something extraordinary, to the surprise of the other one. I thought this was an okay movie that will put a smile on your lips on 1 or 2 occasions. However, it may have become worse if it had run for 2 or 3 minutes longer and the ending was kinda underwhelming. Nonetheless, writer and director Nuno Rocha gets a thumbs up form me and also nice that he kept this without dialogue, so you can watch and enjoy it no matter where you're from. I recommend checking it out.
View MoreIn my most pure state, I think I'm one of those two guys. But maybe I'm the other one. I'm a perfectionist, but also a competitor. So much personality expressed in such a short film, and it is going to make you smile. A treat for the eyes and the mind. Very creative, expressive, and captivating in a most simple way.Next to contemplate why the title is 3x3; I just don't see it. There were three shots from long range. Was it that simple? Try this short for yourself any time you are lucky enough to find it. I found it on DirecTV "Shorts" channel as the first one I'll watch from a weekend of recordings, and it whet my appetite for more shorts.
View MoreThis is a delightful little modern silent film -- in the sense that it tells its story without the use of dialogue or even titles -- of a competition in basketball between two men -- each playing at a different time. It's the jock against the brainbox and little more than an anecdote, but very natural and surprising in its humor. There is also a nice little musical score, whimsical in its nature, the theme played on the clarinet -- the woodwinds tending, as they do, to being the clowns of the orchestra. It will only take a couple of minutes of your time and will reward you immensely.
