What a waste of my time!!!
Very well executed
Excellent, a Must See
I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.
View MoreA headhunter whose life revolves around closing deals in a a survival- of-the-fittest boiler room, battles his top rival for control of their job placement company -- his dream of owning the company clashing with the needs of his family. Family Man benefits from strong performances from Gerard Butler, Alfred Molina, Gretchen Mol and newcomer Max Jenkins, unfortunately the cheap dramatic moments and some jokes that don't land at all ruin what could have been a great film. Plus the main character spends more time with his job and the audience as well instead of spending more time with his "dying" son. I feared that the drama wasn't going to land as well since i first saw the trailer and i was right, the performances might have been great but i was expecting something along the lines of "The Pursuit of Happiness" instead of a film that doesn't know what direction it wants to go or what it wants to be in general. (5.5/10)
View MoreThis true to life movie is a "Must See". I found myself living through every emotion with these characters . Gretchen Mol was the movie's heart and sole. As a mother and a wife she was a powerhouse of strength!Gerard Butler played his character so raw and honest, when he cried I cried, when his family triumphed I cried again! "A Family Man" is an eye opener. In a world where it's easy to become absorbed in power and position it reminds us that family must always come first.Maxwell Jenkins you stole my heart!GO SEE THIS MOVIE ... DON'T FORGET THE TISSUES

A must see, this film is emotional, heart touching and heart warming. I'm not ashamed to say that I shed a few tears while watching it! Gerard Butler, hat off my friend! Great job on this movie! To be honest, the whole cast hat off to you all!!! Amazing movie!!!
View MoreThis was a very good movie. I was happy to see Butler out of his macho Camacho character and give a simple and well played performance. The story line was engaging and a reflection on life. The kid's acting was spot on and actually very engaging. I gave it an 8. It's not an award winning movie, but a good story.
