All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

Why isn't Amanda Peet a household name? A mega-star? She's a beauty with comedic timing, and she's good at quirky. She did great drama in Law and Order: SVU as a kid who faked her own kidnapping. She was scary. This movie is cute and the ending is a bit predictable. How it gets there is not predictable.I shaved off points because Amanda Peets's character fake smokes cigarettes for no reason. What possible reasons do movie makers create a character who smokes when the actor isn't a smoker?ANNOYING. ANNOYING. ANNOYING. I'm guessing that this writer or director is a non- smoker because smokers or ex-smokers like me can spot a fake a mile away. I can't watch. Seriously.

Yeah, I've seen it more than a couple of times but it is still SO ENJOYABLE.Ashton gets to show his acting chops, as well as his singing ability and he and Amanda Peet have a great chemistry. So many cute and funny moments. Not "hah-hah" funny, but just really cute.Ashton's use of ASL is also good to watch - the interacting with Ty Giordano is great. Plus, the soundtrack is great. You think you know where it's going until a few cricks happen. And then the end, which is entirely satisfactory, helped along by 'Oliver's sister' shouting her favorite phrase at him, which helps break up the emotion of the ending. Rent it or see it. It's really a "feel good" movie.

For someone who's ever been in love and not the cheesy kinda. but the one that takes time to build up slowly and u go through a lot of upheaval before finally taking the plunge. Each time Emily and Olivier meet, one appears to be settled and content while the other is struggling to make headway in both life and career. Eventually they come to the realization that each is exactly the person the other one needs for fulfillment. Who says there is no difference between Complete and Finish??? Choose the right person n u r complete, choose the wrong person n u r finished!!! Awesome movie. Brilliantly written and the chemistry between ashton kutcher and amanda peet is simply superb. They create superb moments on screen.. feels .. a lot like love.. :)

Sweet movie that keeps a good balance between romance and comedy, but the bonus stuff that didn't let this thing to fall apart was the drama touch, that appears in the right moments, just enough to keep it real and bring few not to big but yet... surprises in an overall genre defined by clichés. Also the chemistry between the two main characters is caught well, and the actors performance as young and naive opposite to more mature later is captured successfully.I highly recommend it to people that don't favor the genre, because it is not pathetic at all, a feeling I get very often when I watch romcom followed by thought "get over with it and end for once".
