An elite team of Navy SEALs embark on a covert mission to recover a kidnapped CIA agent. Act of Valor has some great action packed sequences but the film's plot is thin and it's villains are forgettable. The real life Navy SEALs do a good job with the material that it's given to them but the film still is missing something and that it's a great script which there isn't, the acting is alright and the action as i said dazzling but the film still offers little and does little in general since the biggest name of the film is honestly Roselyn Sanchez and she gets killed pretty early on the film also the character development wasn't that great either with some characters. Overall not a bad film but not a great one either it's watchable for a Sunday Evening or so but this kind of films have started get repeating badly and some of them are not as good as they were once or as they could have been. (6.1/10)

Bad portrayal and misleading point of view about common Filipinos.

I heard about this movie that it is ,,THE" movie about The Navy Seals and I need to say that's true. I saw a lot of movies about them,but the special thing at this movie is that all props are sponsored by the U.S Navy. That creates a very realistic feeling and you can feel it that The film crew visited a U.S Navy drill camp to get a better impression.There are some scenes you think ,,oh no that can't be" but it is inspired by real events. For fans from ,,Blackhawk down" and ,,Lone survivor" it's the perfect movie.After I watched it and it's one of my favorite movies.And you absolutely should watch it. Have Fun Tristan

This movie is geared for veterans and people who have a true understanding and respect for war and the people who served in them. If you just like Rambo and Robocop type of action flicks I strongly encourage you to stay away from this film. Done very well, showing tactical teamwork by...you guessed it an elite tactical team. Now there are actual actors/actresses in this as well but this is one of the best war films made, belongs in the same category as Lone Survivor/American Sniper/13 Hours. It lets you get truly connected to the people in it because this isn't a true story, at least not according to any type of record. But the Seal team is real and you can see the bond that they share. Truly well done and wish more people would follow suit. I mean I like the classic cheesy action flicks but this is a nice change of pace.
