Really Surprised!
It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
View MoreThe movie is made so realistic it has a lot of that WoW feeling at the right moments and never tooo over the top. the suspense is done so well and the emotion is felt. Very well put together with the music and all.
View MoreThis is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
View MoreI am shocked at how low the scores are for this movie! In Acts of Vengeance, us average, NORMAL folk (some might even call us deplorables) who don't go to art museums and see splashes of paint on a canvas and rave about how much emotion it evokes (while us NORMAL, working class deplorables are thinking, "my five year old does the same thing during finger painting time") saw a movie throwback to the 80s and 90s when Hollywood wasn't afraid of offending the delicate sensibilities of some dainty group of people. It wasn't a great movie, but it was FUN! Edge of your seat, guns blazing, real human vengeance for a young lady on the eve of her wedding day being whisked away by human traffickers from a nightclub where she was having a bachelorette party. Reality? They did everything wrong. The story would never happen like this in real life. We KNOW this! But in our dreams and fantasies, we WANT to see the bad guys get their due and the good guys WIN! I find myself more and more wishing the hands of the clock would turn back a couple of decades when you didn't have to watch every word you say lest you offend a delicate nature who might need a "safe" room to go eat warm chocolate chip cookies. I am seriously sick of the dumb movies coming out about the latest (fill in The blank) issue dreamed up by people who have too much time on their hands and few brain cells left to understand that ENTERTAINMENT, by it's very definition, is supposed to be fun. Acts of Violence is a true Bruce Willis movie where the men are men and the women can handle a gun and be as courageous as a man! I loved it! I can't give it a ten because it's more of a popcorn movie and yes, some of it is just not believable, but neither are the dreams I have when I sleep. I seriously am sick and tired of movies like The Dinner with Richard Gere. And Under the Skin with Scarlett Johansson. THAT movie was an hour and a half I will NEVER get back! So bad, it actually gave me a headache. And I feel like banging my head against a wall for making the decision to HOPE it would get better and watch it to the stupid, bitter, non end. There is a mental illness that is taking over our country today. And it's ruining everybody's fun. But Acts of Violence dared to buck the illness and make a movie so politically incorrect, the folks with whatever the daily flavor of the day agenda is making them weep furiously at an uncaring society. My husband and I are regular folks. We work hard, save a lot for retirement, no vacations because of that saving. We pay a mortgage on a house we will never own in our lifetime and hope with all our hearts that the Social Security system into which we paid more over the last 40 years of employment than we paid in income taxes will see us through to our deaths! I guess the Elites don't HAVE to worry about such mundane things. Their delicate natures seem to be ruling every aspect of us regular folks lives! So, when a movie like Acts or Vengeance comes out, we put up our feet, bring out the beer and enjoy a good guy vs. bad guy movie with a big pot of pop corn. We don't nit pic the movie for tiny flaws. We just watch and all our troubles disappear for an hour and 45 minutes or so. I am not an insensitive person and realize there are very real issues going on that need to be dealt with. But I am also learning when to let go and just enjoy a good action movie filled with guns and C-5 and really bad guys who get kicked in the butt by the good guys. I want MORE of these movies. Watching this movie was the most fun I had today. Call it what you will, but I LIKE it when the good guys kick the butts of the bad guys. And this movie has been sadly under rated, in my opinion. Maybe because the rating was so low, I had no expectations. But I highly recommend this movie if you want just good old fashioned action in a movie and the plot was actually quite good! For once, I didn't walk away scratching my head wondering why the heck I just wasted another hour and a half of my time watching "that" movie. I walked away feeling pretty darn good! I actually understood the plot for a change. What are we going to do when Bruce Willis is too old to make these movies? Here's to hoping society will get more normalized and these great action movies will once again be embraced as simply entertainment like the Die Hard movies and the Lethal Weapons movies once did.
View MoreIts worth watching in my opinion dont know why all this bad review about this movie Ok its not an award winning but still worth watching
View MoreThis is the movie everybody should watch. Bruce does a really good job.
View MoreI was leary picking this movie to watch because of the reviews, I'm glad I didn't listen to them. I love action movies and this one did not fail. Full of action and I LOVE that the family was able to rescue their sister! In this world evil seems to win ALOT so it's nice to see (albeit a movie and not real life) some good take place. I'm not sure why other reviewers said the acting was bad, in fact I'm not sure they rated it so low. If they are into action then this film definitely provided that, if their not then why on earth watch an action movie?
