Interesting in that it makes you think about why it was so bad and other films are so good. It seems to me that the screenplay was the main problem as it could have been a hilarious spoof with a good writer, in which case the amateurish production values, direction and photography would be largely irrelevant or even help it.The best part was seeing Robert Picardo from Star Trek: Voyager where he did a great job as The Doctor, while the worst part was seeing him in such a poor film. Picardo had an unintentionally funny line: "We're being told, from the sheer size of it, on impact, nothing will live." I and my friend burst out laughing. How did he keep a straight face?

SPOILER! SYNOPSIS IS NOT FOR THIS MOVIE NOTHING THAT THE SYNOPSIS STATES TAKES PLACE IN THIS MOVIE! The above synopsis has been entered for this movie all over the web except for a few spots, but to say they match is false. Asylum has either intentionally mislead everyone so they watch or buy this or there is something much worse going on. I don't know which but other way this movie was BAD. MST3K would have a field day with this one. If your need a bad sci-fi for a marathon to make a good movie that much better this is what you should show . Made the Battle ship movie amazing by comparison. Other than the fact that that this was not what I was looking forward to watching it was almost saved by the creatures shown. Still the "aliens" shown walked way to damn weirdly and they "queen" would have looked much better if they had used different textures on the cgi model.

Well, overall it was not a tragic movie but at the same time it was not a great movie. I did like the story plot. The acting could have been more realistic. The actors are very talented but seemed to be without chemistry. I am going to pick on authenticity leaving the space stuff alone. The Generals uniform, wrong. To much insignia. Generals do not wear crossed rifles on the green army service uniform (out of date) ACU's needed some detailing, complete name tapes and left arm patch. The viewer was left wondering what unit / organization these soldiers belonged too. At one point we are told the Colonel was an air force pilot but was not in an air force uniform nor did we see any air force insignia. Details folks always complete the details and fade in the back story. The fire dept., LAFD is huge and works as a team. You would not find an engine company left to handle a fire by its self. I'm not going to address the ray guns… it's a Sci Fi movie. Long critique short, It could have been a Fantastic movie if details, articulation and a faster pace were adhered too.
