Wonderful character development!

Just so...so bad

This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.

If you like to be scared, if you like to laugh, and if you like to learn a thing or two at the movies, this absolutely cannot be missed.

Weary of slasher movies, gore just for the sake of gore, and bored with whizzo CGI effects just for the sake of whizzo CGI effects, I wanted to settle back to a simple, straight forward Ghost Story. One with a solid story line which, more or less, was neatly tethered to some level of reality and played out by reasonably decent actors.In spite of rather low ratings and a couple of mindless reviews, I decided to watch this movie. I stumbled onto an excellent choice! The script is well conceived, logical and moves along smoothly without needless twists and turns. The story, although not altogether original, is captivating and the acting... well, this gem is blessed with exceptionally good acting - not forced, in your face, nor over the top. The actors render natural and consistent portrayals. The film is suspenseful with plenty of scary moments. The music score alone is sufficient to keep you on edge while inflicting huge goose bumps. The cinematography is excellent overall. Ahh, 'tis a wonderful thing to indulge in a well made spooky movie! A must see for serious spook fans.

I love horror and want it to scare me. This movie did a good job of building suspense, making you wait for it, and though you knew it was coming the make-you-jump moments were very good. The acting was good, I loved the setting, and the lighting and camera work were excellent. This is a ghost story of course (per the title), which is refreshing. While I love horror I am deathly sick of the gross-out blood & guts films or the ones based on the devil taking possession of someone. I read reviews after watching it and was surprised it was only a 4.3 on IMDb. I recommend this movie to anyone who wants to have a good scare and not take things too seriously.

I wouldn't say that this was a spectacular or shocking film by any means but it was fun to watch, due to some of the not so predictable flair. Most ghost movies are so predictable for me. I enjoyed this one. Reminded me of a ghost story site I used to go to for the kids to read stories..... http://www.americanghoststories.comI found the movie when searching for ghost stories to read our family church my lock-in (fun thing we do for families, sounds weird I know). We ended up watching this instead and were not disappointed. Hoping to see a secondary film or sequel to this one also. I would say it was more scary for the kids or teens in our group but it definitely spooked a few of the adults as well. I don't normally review movies on IMDb but, thought I'd give it a shot. It kinda reminded me of Paranormal Activity too which was a lot cheesier I must say. Definitely worth a watch if you're into ghost stories n such.

I don't care if low-budget or not, this was the worst film I have ever seen. I am not a film maker but give me a camera and a few hundred dollars and I could put this film to shame. All I would have to do is buy some sheets and put some people under them as well as hire a couple of very over-the-top actors, then I would have a making for a hit over this garbage. I am sorry for being so negative but I need that part of my life back where I watched this landslide. There was no sympathy for the main characters which should be developed throughout the film in any horror/scary film. Actually I found it to be very comical as I watched them plod through their lines almost as if they were ready to bust out laughing at what they were doing. For aspiring film makers, watch this as a antidote of everything not to do in a film.
