Bad Acting and worse Bad Screenplay

This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

a strange film. long time after its end, this remains the impression. because it seems be a prediction. short, honest, almost cruel. about humankind. about choices.illusions. and about limits and, sure, about the personal answer to a challenge who seems be full of significations. "The Ark" could be discovered as warning. about a man and his refuge. about a hided danger. and, sure, about the right manner to escape. in same measure, it is a metaphor. precise like a diagnosis. simple like each prediction who has the virtue of seed of truth.

"Arka" or "The Ark" is a Polish animated short film that runs for 8 minutes and made back in 2007 by Grzegorz Jonkajtys, which means next year it will have its 10th anniversary. The film received some decent awards attention, including a Palme d'Or nomination, but I must say I did not end up liking it very much. First of all the way the people were animated did nothing for me, even it probably contributed to some extent to the scary atmosphere of the entire film. My dislike may also be of a biased nature as I am neither a big fan of post-apocalyptic films nor of science fiction in general, so if you like these more than I do (and also like animation), then you could very well end up enjoying this one. For Jonkajtys, it is still his most known work as a director today, even if he worked on a whole lot of other films in less influential positions. All in all, I give it a thumbs-down. Not recommended.

a man on a ship. his discover. his solution.and the end. a short movie about each of its viewers. like prediction of a fortune teller. because it is just a portrait. precise, almost cruel, honest. a gem by Grzegorz Jonkajtys who not surprise but represents a perfect occasion for reflection. the tool - splendid artistic work. the profound story. the role of metaphor. a film like a mirror, dark and clear, touching and wise, warning and basic definition for common case. a travel in yourself for eight minutes. must see it ! only for remember a word by Shakespeare and dimension of an almost invisible hole. a portrait. so precise than can be almost image from a mirror.

An unknown virus has destroyed almost the entire human population.Oblivious to the true nature of the disease, the only remaining survivors escape to the sea on massive ships. In these ships, they set off in search of uninhabited land. The story focuses on one man as he struggles with his life and his new found knowledge of the voyage.Ark was a fantastic short film, that delivered great animation, emotion and a overall fantastic story in only 8 minutes. With the spot-light on one man, you're immediately sucked into his frame of mind only to be shocked by the twist at the end.For anyone who can relate to the realistic ending, it's an even more powerful moment. At 8 minutes long, there really isn't a reason not to check this film out if you get the chance. Perfect film-making.
