Excellent, Without a doubt!!

I saw this movie before reading any reviews, and I thought it was very funny. I was very surprised to see the overwhelmingly negative reviews this film received from critics.

Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

Amazing worth wacthing. So good. Biased but well made with many good points.

Sarah Jordan (Angelina Jolie) is a Londoner who gets so affected by the pompous doctor Nick Callahan (Clive Owen) at a charity ball that she gets herself to Africa to help the starving. She would leave her husband behind and a grand romance of epic proportions would ensue.This starts off badly with a ridiculous incident at the charity ball. I don't have any problems with somebody throwing the banana. It's the unnatural forced laughing from the audience that is so ridiculous. It's way too forced. Angelina Jolie does her excessive doe-eye acting. Again it is way overboard. I am sure this was made with the best of intentions, but it is so badly overwrought that it probably drives people away.

I was excited to see Beyond Borders. Even if it had taken me seven years to even hear of its existence, the film promised so much: an epic, political and romantic adventure appeared to be in a similar vein to 'Blood Diamond' or 'The Constant Gardener'. And looking at it from a humanitarian point of view, the film does well to highlight the suffering that goes unnoticed around the world. Unfortunately, it offers little more than this.The characters are one- dimensional and it is a struggle to care about anyone other than the starving third-world children. Noah Emmerich (probably best known for his supporting role in 'The Truman Show') is arguably the lone exception. Clive Owen gives a typical Clive Owen performance: expressionless and emotionless even when discussing death, torture and starvation. However Clive Owen is widely known for this form of acting, so maybe the casting director should be called to account here. Jolie's performance is a notch above wooden, at best, while the events that occur throughout the film are all too conventional (Jolie's husband cheats on her - essentially a letter of permission from the screenwriter that allows Jolie to go and kop off with Owen). The less said about the ending the better, it utterly reeks of cliché.With two A-list leads, this film should have acted as a shining beacon for relief workers across the globe. Instead, the opportunity was well and truly missed. For a similar yet superior political/romantic adventure, 'The Constant Gardener' would be my recommendation.

Well... Iam a big fan of Angelina Jolie , I think as whole the movie was acceptable , but really it was very provoking and irresponsible from Angelina's character (Sarah) , you can really see her making very bad calls that shouldn't come from someone who works in helping others and have such great responsibility towards suffering people , for example her decision to leave her kids and go to find her love in Afghanstan , that was pretty irresponsible and unfaithful too , but if you evaluate it from from the romantic dreamer point of view you might consider her a martyr which is something that really provokes me knowing that by her wrong call she deprived her kids from mother care and also unrealistic of her to believe that she can go in a conflict torn region , do the work of an entire army and survive a zillion bullets and get the man back . Overall the acting was good but i didn't think Clive Owen was the best choice (Too much cursing for someone who is a peace keeper!) i think i give this one a 7/1.

The movie ran on local TV. I noticed it after the dialogs that caught attention. I began to watch and felt ashamed to go to sleep. I missed its title and came here to find out more.Stories in books, theater stage, or on screen usually don't go further than reflecting facets of individuals' characters in different life situations giving models of their worst and best qualities. This movie awakens compassion, which purifies heart deeply and very important to feel often. It is sharp and distinguished from what is being created these years.About Ms Joli. Very accurate playing, owing to synthesis of life experience and personal qualities. Very healthy energy. Balanced combination of clean heart, persuasive speech, and sincere acting. It exceeds nowadays commercial acting level. No matter else to say, words fall behind the feelings radiating by main character. Outstanding playing. Good movie. Thanks should be spread to everyone who created it.
