It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

I remember when this film originally came out on video and DVD way back in 2002 and I was sceptical about it since I found it somewhat unnecessary and thought it wouldn't be as good as the original. Upon re-discovering it , thanks to the Nostalgia Chick, I decided to give it a go when purchasing it along with the other two Cinderella films in a box set.The animation is as good as that in 'Return to Neverland' and the colours are bright, but some of the music is pretty forgettable compared to the memorable songs in the original apart from the re-workings of 'Bibbidy, Bobbidy Boo' and 'It's What's Inside That Counts' where its lyrics match the animation quite well, particularly, "You got me in a spin" that plays as Lucifer spins around. I also find the pace of this film more consistent than that in the original and I found it interesting to have three stories rolled into one. In the first one, Cinderella has to get used to being a princess and host a party with her own special touches. I found this segment decent. The second story where Jaq the mouse turns into a human is comical, but the fairground is somewhat anachronistic for the film's setting and the Fairy Godmother's suggestion of elephants being afraid of mice is clichéd because in reality, elephants are not afraid of mice and I've seen that cliché in previous works of animation, such as two of the 'Tom and Jerry' cartoons from the 1960s. The final story revolves around Anastasia (who understandably gets less screen time in this film compared to the first and third ones) as she falls for a common baker, much to the disapproval of Lady Tremaine and Drizella and this is personally my favourite story in the whole film. I also like the inter-cut antics of the mice making the book, especially the repeated gag of one of the female mice drawing on the paper when two male mice cut it with a pair of scissors in a similar manner to the gag in the dressmaking scene in the original and the paints, scissors etc going haywire. The other positive point of this film is that the Fairy Godmother gets more screen time and I am pleased with this because she's a gentle supporting character throughout the trilogy. Pom Pom is a beautiful and rather comedic side character as well who sadly only appears in this film. In addition, the voice acting is impeccable (especially from the mice), although Cinderella in this film sounded almost like Ms Keane in 'The Powerpuff Girls' (which is forgivable since Jennifer Hale voices them both). All in all, this isn't the best film in the 'Cinderella' franchise but it was watchable nonetheless. 8/10.

Cinderella II shows the life of Cinderella and the mice in the castle in three small stories. Although each story is certainly not bad it maybe had been better if they had made it into one big story. The second story where mouse Jaq becomes human because of the fairy godmother's spell seems a bit out of place not contributing to the characters' development. It would suit more as an episode of a Cinderella TV show. The best story is the last one where Anastasia (Cinderella's stepsister) falls in love with the town's baker. She also makes friendship with Cinderella meaning that she was not as mean as the original movie portrayed her. I think the score on this one is too low. It's entertaining but as a sequel it falls flat. Thank God they made a third movie where they got things right. The inclusion of the white cat Pon-Pon as the mice new nemesis was very nice nevertheless.

Many people have commented that this movie was nowhere near as good as the first. Well, maybe it isn't - to you. However, how does your child react to it? Well, mine loved it more than the first.Disney movies of the past can sometimes be a little harsh for little kids. (For example - Bambi's mother getting shot.) This movie was really great for my sensitive little girl who likes humor and happy endings. If you want to be snobby about what should be Disney's standards based on the past - skip this movie. If you have a sweet little girl or soft-hearted little boy you really want to please, buy this movie and treat your small children. This film is great as a bedtime movie for happy dreams instead of nightmares. I'm happy with a movie that pleases my kid & doesn't need to impress the parents all the time.

Possible Spoilers, Perhaps. I must say that "Cinderella II: Dreams Come True" is one of the worst movies ever made. First of all, the movie was made during the height of Disney's sequel rampage. It was created around the same time as "The Little Mermaid II," "The Jungle Book II," and "Peter Pan II," all of which were disservices to their original film classics. (Disney also made "The Hunchback of Notre Dame II" and "Atlantis II," but I'm going to drop that topic because their original movies were never really classics in the first place.") Let me go ahead and say that I am an avid supporter of good Disney films, and I absolutely adore the original Disney "Cinderella." The sequel to "Cinderella," however, was a waste of time. The character of Cinderella in the sequel was so very unlike the original girl that I grew up watching. In the original, Cinderella was kind and loving. The new Cinderella had very out-of-character moments with current-era phrasing like, "I'm going to do this banquet my way!" Let me also tell you that new Cinderella (as I have affectionately named her) says, "Ewww!" That is the anti-Cinderella. I try to find the best in people, but in the sequel, Anastasia, one of the stepsisters, is good! What the heck? Why? They made it all out to be like Lady Tremaine and Drizella are just horrible family members for poor little Anastasia. My question to the world: did the people at Disney watch the original "Cinderella" when making this sequel? Well, it surely doesn't seem so. If I remember correctly, Anastasia was just as abusive to Cinderella as Drizella and Lady Tremaine. I am all for redemption and forgiveness, but there was no point of redemption for Anastasia in this movie. In the first one, Anastasia was evil. In the second one, she is good. One just can't leave a story like this. I hope Disney realizes that this movie, among other movies, is shaming Walt Disney's name. Perhaps now that Michael Eisner is gone, things will start shaping up around the House of Mouse.
