Social satire based on the best-seller by Adele Lang humorously chronicles the life of Katya Livingston, a self-centered, obnoxious and conceited 28-year-old ad sales exec who won't let anything or anyone stand in her way in getting to the top of the San Francisco social ladder.

This Movie Can Only Be Described With One Word.

Excellent, a Must See

Lidia Draper

Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

All I have to say is this: the one and only reason to see this movie is because of Jennifer Love Hewitt! She's in practically every scene, and her comedic skills in this film are outstanding. It really shows that she can hold her own amongst this generations best comedic actresses. I haven't laughed out loud at a movie in a long time, and I did at this one because of Love Hewitt's hilarious character!!! One of her best roles EVER, and hopefully she continues to churn out these co-medically brilliant performances! It's about time Hollywood (and the world) tuned into her talent! Overall, the film is a bit cheesy and shallow, but Hewitt's turn as the selfish Katya is amazing, and it's really something that we haven't seen her do before. Quite refreshing!

Jennifer Love Hewit is hilarious as sexy superficial Katya Livingston, a she's kinda played this role before as her character is very similar to her one in Heartbreakers. But still i think she's very funny. Confessions, has a simple plot, a sexy Young socialite, who believes everything can be done fabulously! During this film Katya tries desperately to get into the biggest party of the season, The royal Ball. One problem, the host-est,Dove, hasn't invited her, as she hates her blah blah blah. Anyways its hilarious watching Katya stop at nothing to get in, even almost ruining things with her true love! The highlight of the film for me was Joseph Lawrence, he is so funny as Furguson, Katya's gay best friend. I think this was a brave role for him, seeing as most of the characters he's played have been, tough macho men. This proves how talented he really is, i would recommend this film to people purely for his performance. Plus i think he pulls of the bald look very well! Bald or with hair, he's still hot!

JLH sheds her goody-two-shoes persona for a hard-driving character that makes this movie WORK! Katya is a non-naive ingénue to the workplace; she's a predator who understands what needs to be done in corporate America. She'll do what it takes to be successful in the world of fashion journalism. Especially delicious are the scenes wherein the in vogue bars change constantly...anyone who has lived in the city has gone through that. In this movie, we see Katya's great heart that is only covered up her desire to climb the corporate ladder. We see Katya's desire for the "perfect" man interfere with her career goals. Watch the movie to find out how she resolves the conflict. I hope JLH explores her full range of acting ability and singing ability both of which are proved in this film.I have great hopes for the Ghost Whisperer on CBS this fall.

This was a somewhat entertaining and silly piece of fluff that will keep you from being not too bored. JLH is again playing the perky and cute and always showcasing her assets in another forgettable flick. Here she plays a Paris Hilton type who does what it takes to be seen and her mission is to go to this Royal Ball that is the biggest event of the year. She hits a snag when she meets the man of her dreams and of course dramatic miscommunication ensues. The only comedic highlight is Joey Lawrence playing JLH's gay pal. Again, if you're bored or are a huge JLH fan then knock yourself out, but if not, you're not missing much.
