I'm going to make this plain and simple. If you like the Wayans Brothers, watch the movie. The movie has its funny moments just like any other films the Wayans Brothers star in. So if you're a fan of White Chicks and/or the Scary Movie series, I can't find a reason why you wouldn't appreciate this film. Like seriously, the movie is a comedy-based film creating spoofs just like any other spoof-movie would. In fact, I enjoyed this movie so much, it reminded me of their old school film called "Im Gonna Get You Sucka" where humor was about being original. So on that note, its a COMEDY FILM. Some people enjoy them while others don't. If you're a college student looking for laughter, corniness, and cheesiness? This is the movie for you and your friends if you're looking for a good time.

"Dance Flick" is the latest in a long line of "Airplane"-spawned movie parodies, this one a product of the formidable spoof-industry mavens, the Wayans Brothers. Like most such films, "Dance Flick" is a goofy, genial and instantly forgettable comedy that takes on such recent hits as "Step Up 2 the Streets" and "Hairspray" as well as more dated works such as "Flashdance" and even "Singin' in the Rain." As with all these scattershot send-ups, the movie defies the rules of logic and physics as it pokes fun at the accoutrements and style of hip hop music and culture.Damon Wayans, Jr. plays the not-so-streetwise hood who falls for Shoshana Bush, a lame-assed white chick from the suburbs who wants to make it to Julliard but has to overcome the trauma of losing her mother in a car crash on the day of her audition. The amusing Essence Atkins costars as Shoshana's sassy best friend, Charity, with Shawn Wayans appearing as Charity's baby daddy. It would be easy to feel superior to a film like "Dance Flick" - as most viewers clearly do - but a good part of it is actually pretty funny.

"Dance Flick" is in the category of those known "Something Movie". It's a spoof movie that ridicules some mainstream movies like "Step Up" and "Hairspray". Also it spoofs Britney Spears and T.I.I may admit that we have some funny jokes and scenes, but it isn't enough. There are some unfunny jokes as well, and it destroys the enjoyability of this. The cast is very known from the TV series "My wife and kids" and "Everybody Hates Chris" which is not a bad thing. If you look for some cheap comedy that will make you have a few (but good) laughs, give it a try. It is nothing compared to "Scary Movie" franchise, but try to do it's work.

I have seen some of the Wayans Brothers previous movies. Although, I'm not a big fan of spoofs, I do like the occasional one and thought this movie would make me laugh a little (like Scary Movie did), I Was Wrong!! I couldn't finish watching it, it was just... too terrible. The exaggerated jokes are just not funny... AT ALL. I also think there was too much offending going around; I have to admit that I have laughed at offensive jokes in other movies (we all have), but this one just goes over board a bit, to the limit where is just offensive and not funny. I really like comedies and movies that make me laugh in general, I think it makes me feel happier and gives my brain a bit of a vacation from the stress, so I actually feel offended by how the writers thought that we might actually laugh at a bunch of absurdities that don't really make sense. Please, Do Not Waste Your Money on this film and try to find something better to watch.
