It is interesting even when nothing much happens, which is for most of its 3-hour running time. Read full review

A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.

It's your typical inspirational teacher,gangster\student type of movie very predictable. They all have almost the same story-line kind of repetitive which is why it's not really doing it for me,other than that I've nothing against it. I like the soundtrack a lot and I've to admit decent acting, good concept you might shed a tear or two if you're on the sensitive side overall not bad.

Dangerous Minds was a very good movie although the story line was a little predictable. It showed real kids with real problems. It also shows that all it takes is for someone to actually care about kids like that and they can change. There was a lot of foul language and although that's how kids talk, they could have done without it. I like how the writers had Michelle P's character constantly talk about choices. She showed how everything we do and say is our choice.Michelle Pfeiffer gives an excellent and convincing performance as the teacher, Ms. Johnson. However, I found elements in the story not convincing. A teacher in the real world could and would not get away with what she did for those students. She was like the Wonder Woman in the world of education putting her own life in jeopardy as well as her students and completely ignoring the administration.. This story is a heart-warming story and the kids did a great jobs as the students in her classroom. Overall good movie, definitely sparks up some emotion!Overall rating: 8 out of 10.

Plot: A teacher gets a job in a certain high school and hopelessly tries to help a class full of poor students do something with their lives, while they try to survive the streets they were born onto. You'll love Dangerous Minds if: You don't ask too much out of a movie like this and of course if you like Michelle Pfeiffer… it's a movie about a teacher that struggles to teach students that come from broken homes and that are more streetwise than she can handle. You might cry with the lives of the kids and you might get angry with the indifference of the teachers but don't expect too much. While not a fan of Michelle I gotta agree that see does a good job in here although her character is a bit TOO sensitive for an ex-marine.You'll hate Dangerous Minds if: You want realism or if you hate soap operas. That's right… soap operas. Dangerous Minds feels like a long episode of a soap opera. Logic and realism are almost non-existent. The first day the teacher enters the class the students almost ate her and some days later they were all behaving themselves, answering vocabulary questions while the teacher was throwing candy bars at them, ("good boy!!!", "Woof!"). The movie's concept is good, the execution is the problem. The kids will make you feel sad about their desperate struggle to cope up with their lives but the way the teacher connects with them leaves something to be desired…FINAL VERDICT: Won't Change Your Life (3.7/10)[+] Decent acting. You might shed a tear at times.[-] Good concept, bad execution. Not as dark as it should be in my opinion. Too much like a soap opera episode. Also Check: Dead Poets Society (1989) – Good Will Hunting (1997) - Stand And Deliver – Up The Down Staircase (1967)P.S.: My purpose in all my IMDb Reviews is not to say "I like\don't like this movie" but to help you decide whether YOU will like it or not since everything is all about taste and expectations IMO...
