Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

....I was advised not to shout so i must just start by saying this film was particularly awful because it really has no meaning, and the characters are just wafty and weak. I mean, the river was nice to look at but i was expecting to watch an actual film. That really was the absolute highlight. The rape seen was good because it was freaky and i did sit up a bit and stop eating my crisps. Spoiler - Four men in a river.

Here's an example of a film that's greatness seems to transcend it's own bad ideas. Seen as a statement about the importance of survival and meeting challenges in being a man, it's really not very good, and doesn't really manage to deal with these ideas in the way that a film like "Straw Dogs" does. Reynolds's character is sort of the film's mouthpiece and he's frankly a bit of an idiot. But viewed as an action film, it's incredible ... one of the best ever made. It's a finely tuned machine with almost no spare parts and features some truly incredible cinematography from Vilmos Zsigmond and at least 5 incredible performances.

Deliverance is one of those movies that makes you think twice before taking your next camping trip. What starts out as good old fashioned fun among friends, turns into a nightmare.Strong performances(3 Golden Globe Nominations) from all involved adds an element of realism to a script that already holds it's own weight. The fluid direction from legendary John Boorman moves the story along at a manageable pace, adding suspense at the perfect moments. It will keep you on the edge of your seat, or trembling in fear as the four friends battle their morals as they desperately fight for their lives. It is considered a classic by many and for very good reason. It is real, dark, dramatic, suspenseful, all interwoven into a story about friendship and their fight for survival in the wilderness. If you are looking for a must see movie before you die, this will definitely deliver.8.5/10

Four friends take a break from their busy urban life and goes for rafting to a dying river. Obviously, the pleasure trip should go wrong. How it goes wrong, how and how many of them survive it? The movie is the answer for all these questions. The movie is a real pleasure trip to the audience with beautiful Panavision visuals. The beauty of the nature will really inspire you. The adventure is going to thrill you for sure.It is really hard to believe that this is a 1972 movie. The same formula is followed for the similar movies even today.A must watch breathtaking adventure movie!.
