The movie is wonderful and true, an act of love in all its contradictions and complexity

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.

It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.

I watched this movie with low expectations. I though "Déjate caer" would be the light comedy or social-critique drama Spanish cinema usually produces, and I was fine with it. All I wanted was some light movie to watch and kill time, but it didn't even succeed at that level. What could I highlight about this movie? Things happen at a slow and drowsy pace. It would have been fine had it would have contributed to a deeper portrayal of the characters, but this was not the case. The dialogs are stuffed with cheap lines that sound forced most of the times, as if the movie had been scripted by a late night show screenwriter. Characters from very different ages and social groups speak in similar ways and use the same type of expressions and metaphors, clearly written by the same person who didn't bother to define the characters.Characters are mere stereotypes and it is hard to believe the actors' interpretation. The lives of the characters are terribly negative which is quite hard to believe. Those neighborhoods and desperate situations exist, yes, but the director fails to portray and convey them.Maybe the director was trying to do something similar to Garden State: coming of age youth hanging out and waking up to reality, with some comedy touches here and there. Or a social commentary like Fernando León de Aranoa's films. However, the final result is just a tepid bittersweet dramatic comedy which fails in many different ways.(SPOILER starts) The most interesting part of the film was the end, when characters wake up to reality, but even in that case it wasn't developed appropriately, in my opinion. Suddenly, the friendship ends without further explanation, just because two of them have found girlfriends, and they avoid each other. We don't even get to understand well what the third one feels about it. (SPOILER ends)Long story short: Don't waste your time watching this movie.
