It is so daring, it is so ambitious, it is so thrilling and weird and pointed and powerful. I never knew where it was going.

(57%) Just like the original it's well shot, and there's a a good deal more action to enjoy; although the plot is scaled back to almost nothing, and it lacks some of the charm of the first instalment. Overall there is not a huge amount to say about this really. Lots of people dressed as specemen get shot/burned/blown up, Trash (the hero) spends more time on the move or fighting than talking to anyone, and when he does actually say something he's just insulting and angry. This is a good little action movie set in a very unique looking broken location, but those looking for something deep or complex will be wasting their time with this one.

*Spoiler/plot- 1983, The Bronx New York in the year 2000. The choking city has been reduced to a decaying desolate wasteland. Its crumbled remains infested with swarms of vicious street gangs and scavengers. General Buildings Corp—an imperialistic mega-nation corporation is proceeding with its sinister plans to rebuild the doomed Bronx area into a perfect ordered metropolis. The Bronx will be raised to the ground and the few inhabitants are to be either removed to New Mexico or killed by death squads called The Disinfectors. Beneath the ruins, in an underground tunnels a valiant rebel defender with several street gangs arms itself to stop the final onslaught. The legion of resistance fighters is ready to die for their neighborhoods and are ready to kill others to save it.*Special Stars- Henry Silva, Mark Gregory, Timothy Brent *Theme- Killing millions for a good cause is an honorable ethic.*Trivia/location/goofs- Italian, dubbed. You must watch for the already 'dead' to jump and react to gunshots, explosions, and car accidents. Shot in Italy and New York City, pre-9-11. The extremely low budget is reflected in the laughable use of wrong-size consumer size and brand camcorders by the media press camera people during the news conferences. The costuming and weapons for 2000 future is unintentionally humorous.*Emotion- More of a good shoot-'em-up video game than film plot. Henry Silva turns in another cookie-cutter boring performance as a baddie here. The killing is incessant and mindless. This film looks like a badly done A-Team episode without the good writing and acting. Skip this one except if you need gunshots or explosion sound efxs or footage of killings.

The semi-tough, actually rather effeminate Mark Gregory is back as "that delinquent Trash person" in Bronx Warriors 2, which in my opinion bests the original. It's faster-paced, with more action and more dead bodies, and Mark Gregory's acting has even improved.The story gleefully ups the bleakness quotient, with most of the Bronx gangs having retreated into subterranean hideouts as Disinfestation Annihilation Squads raze the blighted neighborhoods to make way for fascistic urban renewal. Anybody who's seen the first Bronx Warriors knows Trash isn't going to put up with that.If you're in the mood for a cheap 80s action flick that delivers the goods, Bronx Warriors 2 has more than enough gun battles, flamethrowers, exploding miniatures, people dying and flying through the air in slow motion, and scatological dialogue to satisfy. Consider watching it as a double feature with C.H.U.D., which shares several of its elements.

Now this is what I call a movie!!!It's virtually 85 minutes on non stop action and with a body count to rival a modest war and enough explosions to level an entire city!Step forward Trash, gang leader and hero of the first movie who returns here in style for within the very first few seconds of his screen entrance he manages to shoot a helicopter out of the sky! Woah!The plot concerns a property development project over the dilapidated Bronx and the compulsory 'relocation' of its existing population to New Mexico…..or so they're told….. As it happens, this relocation is anything but and actually involves the butchery of the Bronx's inhabitants by extermination squads who are headed by a scene stealing, and gloriously sadistic Henry Silver.Needless to say, the inhabitants take not inconsiderable offence to this and resolve to fight back which they do – violently!Cue an infinitude of shootings, beatings, stabbings and detonations as our brave warriors wage the desperate battle to survive against hoards of silver suited, motorbike helmet wearing, flame thrower/machine gun wielding corporate henchmen!This is a movie that will render your mouth agape at its violent brazenness and excesses! In short, if you're a fan of high energy/high body count movies then stop reading this review and go and get yourself a copy of this immediately!!!
