It is a performances centric movie
Clever, believable, and super fun to watch. It totally has replay value.
View MoreThis is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
View MoreExcellent characters with emotional depth. My wife, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed it...and me, too! Very good movie! You won't be disappointed.
View MoreI love this film. In the 80's there was Silvia Seidel Mania going on in Germany. Silvia became majorly popular because of the smash hit (Ballet) TV series ''Anna'', which also was broadcasted in many other country's and became a huge success. Because the TV series was such a big success a cinema film was made following up the story where the TV series had ended. This movie was also a huge success in Europe. After ''Anna'' Silvia Seidel starred in her first international film ''Faith''. I think a lot of people like this film because they really like ''Anna'' and the film ''Faith'' also features great dance scenes and has great music. In the United States this film was more released as a thriller while in Germany this film was released as a dance film with the title ''Ballerina''. Me being a Silvia Seidel fan I prefer the German title. This film is definitely more a dance film then a thriller. So i think in America the film was promoted in the wrong way. If you like ''Anna'', ''A Chorus Line'' and ''Dirty Dancing'' you will also like ''Faith''. ''Faith'' definitely belongs in the line of great dance movies from the 80's. Silvia Seidel is absolutely brilliant. This is a fantastic dance film, with romance and little bit of action. Also starring Richard Maldone (''The Sopranos''), Ami Dolenz (''She's out of Control''), and a short part for Michelle Johnston (''A Chorus Line''). Also features great music by music producers Guido & Maurizio de Angelis. The soundtrack of this film was only released in Germany. In Germany the film was dubbed in German language, which I really like because you can hear Silvia Seidel speaking in her original language. A must see film for all dancelovers and ''Anna'' Silvia Seidel fans.
View MoreThis film was entertaining, but they jumped through the script like rabbits. Meaning, the story went too quickly and changing to the next scene happened without seemless flow through this movie. The characters were very stereotypical and the plot was extremely predictable. Amy Dolenz's german-accent was very convincing, allthough she's a californian girl. The clothing was terrible, but it was obviously set in the 80's and we all know what that means :o). If you're just plain bored and want something to do for 101 minutes, this movie will keep you alive.
