The greatest movie ever made..!
Perfectly adorable
It's a mild crowd pleaser for people who are exhausted by blockbusters.

View MoreGo on bing.com search 'supermodel'.. then do a search for her.. nuf said. She's a pin-up, no way near a true runway supermodel. And then you look at him, the cab driver, and there's no scenario where a true life fashion mag icon is going for him as a full time love partner (they barely do that anyway with anyone.. they're so much into themselves). That's the problem with this film.. the premise just does not hold up in the real world. Label her something different and maybe they get away with it, but as it stands, it just doesn't float. And really seeing that's the basis of the entire film, a six rating is being more than generous, actually a five would be more accurate.
View MoreWhen I caught this movie late night on a Wednesday I knew I wasn't in store for the best made film of all time, never the less I watched it until the end. The voice-overs were the largest point of contention for me, especially when they contained what was herald as "Poetry". They did nothing to forward the plot and did not give intelligence and charisma to the character of Michael. The other issue I had was the mini-flash back flash forward effect used in certain scenes. I saw these scene stutters as more annoying than artistic. The character was Michael was the most unrelatable, unbelievable character. I think he was suppose to be this perfect man that ever girl secretly wishes she had. Instead he comes off as completely unrealistic. He does no wrong, he's sensitive and patient. He has secret money and is wise beyond his years. He knows exactly what Sara wants and everyone loves him. I don't understand,he gives up writing because he can't deal with the fame? He never thought of using a pseudonym? He just gave up instead. I don't think the writer had this in mind but he seems to hide from situations he can't control. Sara is more rounded but still her character has zero depth( at least she had flaws). My thoughts were she is using Michael to slum it for awhile until figures out what she wants and then to get back at her husband. She's 28 (as stated in the film) which is like 40 in model years yet that is never explored. I also felt like the majority of camera angles and lighting were more flattering to Michael and left Sara looking odd and just awful in some scenes. This movie seemed more like a ego-centric glamour piece to it's seemingly narcissistic writer- producer-actor, than a movie about love and relationships. I didn't care about Michael and Sara and I don't believe much time and effort was put in to achieve that goal. The only characters I wanted to know more about were the Lesbian Dinner friends, sadly they were under-developed. I was really young in the 90's of maybe this was what was called "artistic," I just hope that it wasn't

View MoreWhy did i waste my time on this pseudo-intellectual junk? A once famous 'writer' who shuns the trappings of fame to drive a taxi and finds the time to seduce a 'model'...and attractive as she is, she's still 15 bucks too heavy to be a working model. We know he's 'sensitive' because we only see his female friends. A cabbie in NYC with no male friends? Still with me? And we KNOW this is an arty movie because of the title fonts and cards and the digital camera work that passes as 'verite' these days. The mastermind behind this vanity piece, Eric Schaefer directs himself and his first initial 'seduction' of the model, staged like some "9 and 1/2 Weeks" out-take, is a hostile Jewish male fantasy of getting rough with a Teutonic woman and her LOVING him for it! Geez! Another word on this Eric Schaefer character: he looks like Elon Gold, prattles on like James Woods on nose candy, and the film's 'poetry' is akin to something a junior college English major would write.So-called 'important' and 'adult' romances like this are the death knell for independent cinema. First Miramax, then Dogma 95, then this? I'll take a cheesy LIFETIME or HALLMARK movie over excrement like this any day of the week.
