It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional

This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.

The joyful confection is coated in a sparkly gloss, bright enough to gleam from the darkest, most cynical corners.

A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

Moves too slow, showing uninteresting events. The idea f the movie is great but the way it's done is just plain too boring to watch..had to switch off half way

Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfriend, and Aaron Paul do a fantastic job with the sorrowful story of a father and daughter and the relationships their within. Several other reviews call for boxes and boxes of tissues. I did not have that experience at all. How this did not get more nominations escapes me.

Life can be very bitter and sweet and fathers and daughters portrayed this sentiment whole heartedly. Great examples of a fathers love for his daughter; the daughters struggles from a challenging childhood and the loving devotion and forgiveness from her jilted boyfriend. This type of film is valuable to everyone, because it helps us think, feel, and understand how to cope, learn and heal from life's tragedies! Touching and hopeful ending! Russell Crowe was fantastic!! Good acting all around!!

I heard something from her and did not remember, I'll try to see her, although I imagine another movie at three thirty. Well, this does not look too bad. This movie is improving at times. I think this movie comes to play, without sentimentality and without need of scenes that would be left over. All characters are growing during the movie. Let's see your fears, the why of everything.Russell Crowe always seemed to me a great actor, but it is that in this film is surpassed. But it is that all the actors are magnificent. Amanda shows each scene what's inside. The girl at such a young age is already very content and stupendous. The guys are great in their role.We are discovering things and why they have arrived there. You hurt what happened to them.I do not know if he would have given that touch of hope but he has given it in a very good way.It has a great picture, I liked it except at certain times. Even if it is not good with the camera. But hey, if you tell the stories like that, it's really worth it.Although it has phrases left over, like the aunt's in the end, but is that nothing is perfect.Spoiler: One thing I like is that when she goes to bed with someone, she does not show you how they do it, she does not need to, she does not come to show it and she does not. And at the end of the way home, I just thought, do not do it, do not do it and to give that touch of hope did not do it but tell it without sentimentality
