terrible... so disappointed.
A Brilliant Conflict
Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
View MoreThe movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
View MoreLook people, its just a movie and a good one at that. YES, there are many parts that do not make sense and does not follow real history but it starts with going through a time storm ...... that should be your first hint that its a movie and not a documentary of history ! Just get the popcorn and a cold drink and enjoy the movie !!!!!!
View MoreYes, the premise is derivative of the Kirk Douglas vehicle THE FINAL COUNTDOWN, but the multiracial cast is game, the story fairly suspenseful given the outcome is more-or-less preordained, and The Asylum's CGI work has progressed to the point where it doesn't interfere with your suspension of disbelief...much. My wife, niece and I watched it on Netflix the other night, and as soon as we saw "AN ASYLUM FILM" we figured we'd be switching it off in ten minutes in disgust - so the fact we not only watched the entire movie through, but were entertained by the experience, is quite a recommendation! Special props go to Faran Tahir's Captain Strong, an airline pilot so cool-headed under pressure Sully Sullenberger would be green with envy; and Aqueela Zoll's Tough Young Flight Attendant Cameron, who is just who you want serving you coffee when your plane time-travels to a slightly-changed for excitement WWII air battle! But everybody in the cast pitches in to sell the story, which is a pleasant surprise - like when Charles Band's people crank out an above-average bit of Direct-to-Video dreck like ZONE TROOPERS.
View MoreOkay ....... first of all there are loads of historical errors but it's a sci-fi movie!! The writers didn't care about historical accuracy and neither should the viewer. A group of people get sucked into a vortex that transports them through time to smack in the middle of WWII. There are moral dilemmas and heroic acts from everyday people who rise above their selfish needs and then there's the usual jazz that comes with time travelling plots. I thought the movie was very entertaining if you suspend belief and it's loads of fun from beginning to end. The acting is pretty good considering that it's a low budget flick. Just don't demand or expect too much from a movie with cheap special effects.
View MoreIt's up there as being one of the top ten of the worst films we have ever seen. It's that appalling it's comical. The whole film is just set on the plane which wasn't obvious when reading the initial synopsis of the plot. We howled with laughter at the appalling acting; don't miss the German soldier being shot and his great death scene it's hilarious. Also the grinning, smiling and back patting of everyone at the end. This is despite the fact that 2 passengers had just been tragically sucked out of the plane. Waah and the captain's final slow motion saunter in slow motion to music as he leaves the plane at he end had us creased up :)Avoid it at all costs. Just get drunk instead ;)
