Best movie of this year hands down!
Perfect cast and a good story
I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.
View MoreExactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.
View MoreDownload: The Movie also known as Up all Night is a spin off from the CBBC entertainment show.Inspired by Scooby Doo our gang go on a road trip in a beat up van which breaks down in the middle of nowhere and they seek refuge in an old haunted mansion which is under threat of being repossessed. At night in this spooky old house strange things happen, the police are of no help and their hosts, a brother and sister need help to raise £20,000 in order to keep the house.Aimed at kids with cameos from David Mitchell, Marcus Brigstocke and the pop group The Vamps, it should keep younger kids entertained and spooked although I watched it with my son and he was only semi interested until things started to go bump in the night.
View MoreI really enjoyed this film and watched it with my younger cousin who loved it. There are cameos from The Vamps, Bars & Melody and David Mitchell. David Mitchell played a policemen and that was probably one of my favourite bits. My younger cousin loved the concert at the end and we both keep singing The Vamps now! There are some spooky/jumpy bits which makes it a great Halloween film to watch but it's got a lot of comedy as well. It was great to see the old Friday Download crew together again and I hope there will be another one!
View MoreI just watched Up All Night with my kids who really enjoyed it! I have seen a bit of Friday Download before, and the presenters and other young actors actually all do a great job in their roles. The film gets off to a good start, and the first half has enough spooky bits to keep my kids interested but not so much that they will lose any sleep. Some of the haunted house tricks are quite clever and fun, and bring to mind fairs I visited as kid. The mood lightens a bit as well near the end, which features cameos from the Vamps and Bars and Melody, both groups my kids love. They really enjoyed singing along to the concert scene. Could be a Halloween classic!
View MoreI took three children (aged 8-10) to see Up All Night yesterday.I had seen the trailer and the children regularly watch Friday download and we were really looking forward to it.As soon as it started I thought I may have made a mistake thinking it was a PG (usually OK for ages 8+) as it was quite scary.I thought this may just have been part of the introduction, and decided to wait and see if it got better, but the longer it went on the scarier it got.My daughter, aged 8, started to cry and both 10 year old boys asked to leave.I feel the PG rating is totally inappropriate for this film, which subsequently gave my daughter nightmares.
