Too many fans seem to be blown away

That was an excellent one.

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

Worth seeing just to witness how winsome it is.

I managed to get through all of this film on the second attempt when I knew I was less likely to fall asleep or get so frustrated I would watch something else.The film is just incredibly tedious and boring to watch. The story just doesn't hold one's attention long enough to feel any connection to the characters whatsoever. The characters themselves are one- dimensional cardboard cutouts that move around on the screen.There is acting talent in the cast but it doesn't come through in this stylised movie. It is very rare that it takes me two attempts to get through a film - even the really bad ones. Not that this is a badly made film - it just has nothing going for it.How on this earth it cost $17 million to make I will never know.

I truly don't understand why this movie is so badly rated. Thus was like a graphic novel come to life, with great 1970's kung-fu style cinematography (not fights, just camera work),a great, appropriate score, action, monsters, revolvers, and great acting.Sure, the plot could have benefited from a bit of revision and tightening, but it's not difficult to follow. If taken like a graphic novel, it fits right in. Pick up some Image graphic novels and you'll understand that the way the plot is presented is very much aligned with that style of storytelling.This gets a solid 8 because this is the type of movie you pat $13.50 at a theater for.

first off this is a straight to DVD movie. so if you are wanting a Oscar caliber movie then this is not for you. i gave it a 7 for a straight to DVD movie. this is much better then most. and way better then any SYFY channel movie. any one that says this is the worst movie ever must have never seen sharknado. i have Chiller channel and this movie came on. never heard about it. but was able to sit through the whole film, which is not common with Chiller and SYFY films. the budget seemed high for a movie like this. not just some bad actors in front of a green screen. good kill scenes. if you go in to this film knowing it went straight to DVD and won no awards then you won't be let down.
