Scout is twelve. Scout feels like she doesn't quite fit in with other girls her age. Her best friend, Charlie, is starting to treat her differently, and she doesn't understand why. Tensions come to a head at the Bi-Annual Co-ed Youth Group Lock-In, when Charlie confesses his unrequited crush during a catastrophic game of flashlight tag. Reckoning with the loss of a friend, Scout discovers she may be more like other girls than she thought.
