Disappointment for a huge fan!

It's a mild crowd pleaser for people who are exhausted by blockbusters.

If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

Because this is free. Anybody just come here and say something idiotic (like lets say: this movie is any good), and gives it a 10Fine. Nobody gets hurt, but the point of sharing opinions its that you make it honestly. And if you want to give this aberration of nature a 10, fine, but then you don't have that 10 for your honest opinion on an actual movie that you actually like That seems fair to me. Really hard to believe there's anyone on the planet who doesn't get this movie......Deserves to be in the top 10 comedies of all time.....Somewhere along the way we've lost artistry and gain a gapping hole in the name of what everyone wants to hear....GOD save our future. 10 Stars.....Easy.

A military experiment goes wrong, sending two people into the very distant future where everybody is stupid and lazy. Maybe I've grown up too much, maybe my tastes have changed, maybe this film is aimed at a younger, more 'now' audience. I didn't really enjoy this, it felt, well it just felt stupid. Luke Wilson plays his usual limp self while Maya Rudolph overacts her character's stereotype. I was expecting more from a Mike Judge film and maybe that's my downfall. I might have found this mildly funny in the mid 90's amidst the likes of "Bio-Dome" or "Joe's Apartment", but I don't think it's a great watch for modern audiences who demand more than just farting, nob gags, and pretty colours.

The beginning part is fresh and funny. The later part is more emotionally resonant and dramatic. However, the middle part is a bit boring because the joke is stretched there, and it runs out of ideas.It is a mix between a satirical comedy and a sociological analysis of what an unintelligent society would be like. It is funny and it effectively analyzes a future dystopic society. What prevents me from giving this higher than a 6? It's not hilarious, and it felt a little boring at times, particularly in the middle.
