Identical 9-year-olds from very different backgrounds: orphaned Amanda and wealthy Alyssa meet at summer camp and decide to switch places -- and play matchmaker between Alyssa's dad, Roger, and the kind social worker who cares for Amanda.

This movie is the proof that the world is becoming a sick and dumb place

The film was still a fun one that will make you laugh and have you leaving the theater feeling like you just stole something valuable and got away with it.

After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

IT TAKES TWO (1995) ***1/2 One of the first Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen vehicles, it's a nice little family film which the young and young at heart will enjoy. The story, which seems to resemble that of 'The Parent Trap', has the Olsen twins play opposites in social standings - Mary-Kate, an orphan who lives in a foster system; Ashley, the daughter of a well-to-do millionaire - who cross paths at a summer camp. In hopes of getting a taste of a different lifestyle, they trade lives for the weekend, and their caretakers don't deduce they're both taking care of different girls. The production's whole is not extremely intelligent by any means, but noteworthy Steve Guttenburg and Kirstie Alley are very watchable in their roles.

This is one of my favorite Olsen Twins movie of all times. It starts out when a street tough orphan(Mary Kate Olsen) and her case worker like a big sister(Kristy Alley) go to summer camp, then she stumbles apon a look alike (Ashley Olsen) who is the daughter of one of the richest man in the world. The girls switch places to bring her dad and the case worker together. The only problem he is a engaged to be married to someone else. And that someone is not very nice. The movie seemed very interesting to me because it reminds of Parent Trap and Annie which I enjoyed while getting older. The movie seemed charming and fun.

this has to be one of the worst movies i have ever seen, how could you people think that this movie is 5? this is very sad and makes me uneasy about these user ratings. 5?!?!?!?!?! this movie, first of all, had an unrealistic scenario from the beginning. IDENTICAL STRANGERS?!?!?!?!?! how is that possible. the writing is horrendous, and the olsons don't even do anything, they just walk around and see if the two people are going to make out or not. plus, I'm pretty sure they would get their asses sued if they flew a helicopter in and took the girl away from her new LEGALIZED parents, i didn't even watch this movie really, my sister was watching it on TV and i could not believe the little that i saw and i am ashamed that i saw the little i did see

Another stupid Olsen twin film. Don't waste your time. They irk me and their movies irk me. They try too hard. Wish they would just give up after Full House. It's cute and all, but nothing noteworthy. The classic case of switcheroo and see what the other's life is like. AND...here's the kicker, they're not related. Only identical strangers. Please!
