Joseph, Matthew and Andrew Lawrence (TV's Brotherly Love) star in this thrilling, action-packed sequel to the Disney Channel Original Movie Horse Sense. It's first-class adventure on the high seas for Michael Woods (Joseph Lawrence) and his cousin (Andrew Lawrence) when they charter a private yacht for a fun-filled cruise off the coast of Australia. But the yacht turns out to be a broken-down fishing boat complete with rusting hull! When they find themselves being chased by modern-day pirates, they decide that Jumping Ship with the boat's captain Jake Hunter (Matthew Lawrence) is the only option. Stranded on a desert island without any conveniences from home, these three castaways must work together as a team if they hope to survive and be rescued.

Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.

This is ultimately a movie about the very bad things that can happen when we don't address our unease, when we just try to brush it off, whether that's to fit in or to preserve our self-image.

It's very rare that Matthew Lawrence gets to be in something for at least 50% of the movie or TV show. Since Brotherly Love got canned, he had a non-speaking cameo in Horse Sense (1%), had 25% in The Hot Chick, 30% in Family Tree & some of the Boy Meets World episodes had him do token lines.Only H-E Double Hockey Sticks & Jumping Ship are the happy exceptions for a big part. I'm glad he did Jumping Ship to get rid of his drought. Loved the movie overall as well. The only other droughts Matt has are singing (Boy Meets World-As Time Goed By-2000) & doing a talk show (Donny & Marie-2000), while Joseph & Andy did Wayne Brady.

This Movie stars all of the three Lawrence brothers. Andy has grown a lot since the last movie, "Horse Sense". Joey and Matt stayed about the same, though. I have seen this film numerous times and I enjoy it every time. I have to say that after reading other reviews that I like both movies equally. "Horse Sense" has a lot more people in it, has a more familiar surrounding, and more of a story. In "Jumping Ship" all they do is shipwreck on an island to put it bluntly. I has much more action than the first and more scarier scenes. The movies are totally different and the only comparison is that they share the same characters. What is also good about "Jumping Ship" is that the plot is not predictable. It is very suspenseful and interesting. But it could have possibly been just as good if they would have used a crowd of three other brothers so that the Lawrences would not be in so many movies. But their expertise was needed and it is an adventure flick that everyone should sit through once. It is probably the most fun for kids 7-13 years of age, but Adults would like it too.

The Lawrence Brothers are probably the best comic actors around. They work so well together and they they are genuine is what makes the movie work. The plot is outlandish, but the Lawrence Brothers make it work well. They take a crazy story and make it believable. Disney should release this film on video and DVD.

Great movie for the family. Starring all the Lawrence brothers, Joey, Matt and Andy. It's a great cast. All three brothers are great in the movie! It is both funny and dramatic. Joey and Matt fight most of the time but as the movie goes on they begin to settle down. All Lawrence boys are very cute! See it on Disney all the month of August!
