Ok... Let's be honest. It cannot be the best movie but is quite enjoyable. The movie has the potential to develop a great plot for future movies

Katy Perry: Part of Me (2012): Dir: Dan Cutforth, Jane Lipsitz / Featuring: Katy Perry, Angela Perry, Shannon Woodward, Russell Brand, Glen Ballard: A colourful concert experience that brings insight into what transpired to bring pop star Katy Perry to the top of the charts with hits like "Firework" and "Teenage Dream." It showcases her religious upbringing as well as her failed attempts on the Christian charts. It also showcases the darker side including her failed marriage to Russell Brand, which led to bouts of depression. She has a real flare for life and a sense of humour to match. She introduces those whom assist on her tours but none are as detailed as the involvement of her sister Angela who apparently organizes the fan meets as well as double as other characters on the stage during a performance. Perry's wardrobe presents the wonderland portrayal she attempts to give off but it is never more fun than when she conceals herself briefly only to emerge seconds later in a new outfit. One such sequence involving a glitter gun gave the most magical visual in the film. Directors Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz do a splendid balancing act with stage performance and personal and backstage antics that give the film more appeal. We are also linked in with many of her popular songs during footage where she takes the stage under different surroundings and antics. Fans of Perry will enjoy this film most but its ability to divide concert and back stage elements allow this to elevate beyond most concert films. This is a colourful and fun concert experience that fans will want to be part of. Score: 9 / 10

I'm a HUGE KatyCat, and Katy is one of my biggest role models, she's talented, kind and is a living proof that if you can be yourself, you can be anything. Katy tells us to live our life with fun, and no regrets, life is too short to be anything but happy! The movie is made of concert scenes, behind the scene and home footage, and more. It talks about Katy's life, and how she became what she is today, and follows her to her 2011 successful tour, California Dreams Tour. She talks about her childhood and past, and her family, team and other celebrities (Jessie J, Adele, Rihanna etc..) are also introduced as guests too.I guess it's suitable for her fans, and even some of her non-fans too. See the movie and I bet you won't be disappointed!

I have 501 movies in my collection. This is, by far, the best in my collection. this is the most underrated movie of all time!! I cannot believe the crap rating for this on IMDb! and Rotten Tomatoes! this deserves a 10/10 on this site, and on RT, 23% of critics don't know what the hell they are talking about!! it deserves a 100% rating with an average of 10/10, not 77% with an average of.. WHAT?! 6.5/10??? RUBBISH!!!! I think a lot of movies are underrated, such as Raiders Of The Lost Ark, Toy Story , Temple Of Doom, Last Crusade, Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, Tintin, Madagascar 3, Smurfs, Abraham Lincoln: VH and probably hundreds more, but this is the most underrated of them all! But I am probably the biggest fan of Katy Perry out there, so I will probably disagree with your opinion, and this site's and rotten tomatoes'. if this review was helpful to you, I'm proud to be of service! If not... well, I'll disagree with your opinion like I said above. Until next time. Au Revoir!

IF you're a fan of US singer Katy Perry, you'll love thisautobiographical concert movie of her songs and life.If you don't know anything about her, you'll still enjoy the movie as it follows the structure of these kind of movies: it has many concert performances and interviews with her family, friends and fans about what a great singer and person she is.The movie follows her on a year-long tour last year to promote her album, which produced five No. 1 hits, the first for a female artiste. The movie would have been a normal one but for the way it milks her divorce from British comedian Russell Brand for all it's worth. Brand filed for divorce in December 2011 after 14 months of marriage. It shows what led to the divorce (him wanting to have a baby; she not being interested in becoming a mum now) and then her finally accepting the divorce, complete with a breakdown, just before the start of her concert in Sao Paolo, Brazil. She even contemplates cancelling the concert. This will certainly brings tears to many, as it did to me.I enjoyed her concert shows as they were vibrant, energetic and colourful. "Thank you for accepting my weirdness," she tells the camera and her fans. Her niceness permeates the movie, and you can see why her mostly white fans adore her, dress like her, mime her lyrics and say how much she inspires them and gives them hope.** www.jeffleemovies.com (FB and Twitter)
