That was an excellent one.
It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.
View MoreEach character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.
View MoreEasily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.
View MoreThis is a really sweet yet sad movie. I'd definitely recommend watching it.Animation - Though the art isn't as clean newer anime, there are still some beautiful images in this movie. The character designs are interesting, and the movement of characters and objects are surprisingly fluid. Story - There isn't a lot of story, seeing as how this is mainly a romance, but its still engaging and sweet. The events are interesting. Character interactions are well-written and in many instances pretty sad. Characters - The two leads have good chemistry, and all the other characters are consistent and believable. Sound - The sound design is pretty good. The voice acting is as well.
View MoreI thought it was such a weird gay anime but it was very appealing at the same time to watch and enjoy it. I like the fact it is different from other animes because its set in France whereas normal animes are set in Japan.Gilbert I thought was like such a brat, in the scene where his former lover was attacking Serge, he didn't even bother fighting for him or even say anything. I really felt so peed off with him because Serge helped him so much in getting better and urgh, that kid just makes you wanna shake him so badly! Serge I thought was such a cutie. He really does play well with the keys on the piano, wish I was like Mozart there haha! I like this weird gay anime, I give this a solid 8/10
View MoreDespite its adaptation from a rather long Japanese graphic novel, the story doesn't lack in emotion and appeal. The two main characters are realistic and it's nice to watch something different in the Boy's Love landscape. One might be tempted to compare it to a French film, in that it focuses on the evolution of the protagonists' relation. The insights and references to nineteenth century rural France add to its charm. One thing that might possibly disappoint is the somewhat bad visual quality, but that may be due to the fact that the film was released quite a few decades ago. Still, I highly recommend watching it, and if fairly intimate scenes between same sex characters disturb you, there's always the option of looking away.
