This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

Main Plot: A mother stops at nothing to rescue her kidnapped son.Review: Kidnap is a movie that gets straight to the point. We see only a short amount of lighter moments until the seriousness starts. This is a very tense edge of your seat movie in different aspects. Kidnap is literally a fast-paced flick as most of it is set on the road with cars travelling at crazy speeds. Halle Berry does a great job in her role as the scared, worried and strong determined mother who will stop at nothing to get her son back from a spontaneous kidnapping that happened in broad daylight in plain sight. Kidnap is both scary and very tense. Tense and scary with the fact that on your first viewing - you don't know if she will get her son back and other moments with in your face and near miss confrontations. Even when Rewatching this, the intensity of the film is still there even when you know the final outcome.Without giving too much away, this flick is dark with the depiction alone of a child getting kidnapped. It's upsetting when you think about the kidnappers' motives.

The movie was not too bad, but I feel like there should be more to it than car chasing and crashing.

I like Halle Berry, but I couldn't sit through one more second of this stupidity at about the 10 minute point of this movie while watching an incompetent, useless, shrieking hysterical woman do nothing right to stop the car carrying away her kidnapped child. It's just way, WAY to painful to sit screaming at the screen while watching an ineffectual twit who can't drive and makes stupid mistake after stupid mistake - starting with dropping her phone - so then she's helplessly yelling at cars beside her to call the cops while she chases the bad guys.I'm sorry guys - this junk MIGHT get better after this - but I can't sit through watching a frantic woman act like an idiot while her child is being taken.

You know those cliche movies where the protagonist is a clever alpha male who makes careful plans and acts like an adult, using his brain? Like batman? Well this movie is nothing like that. It's about a dumb protagonist woman who, unlike protagonists in other movies, is 100% unprepared for chasing the bad guys. This appeals more to the typical house mothers who would do literally ANYTHING for their generic kid that nobody cares about except her. Action packed and with suspense. Not my taste, I'm not a housewife mother. You know how mothers make you roll your eyes when they talk about how their child is THE most beautiful, and special, wonderful child in the world? Well this is how this woman thinks. She caused at least 100 or so people to get injured, caused millions of dollars of damage, very likely that at least a few people got killed due to her reckless driving, and surprisingly, the police seem to be clueless because almost no one wants to stop her.Another question mark is how for half the movie, for some reason... there are NO cars on the road. If you think the woman is dumb, guess what. The bad guys are even dumber. Although she comes up with 1 or 2 clever things, but come on. A movie is supposed to be intelligent. It's supposed to be clever, not make me cringe at the stupidity of the main character. The stupidity that should've gotten her killed, but her invisible protagonist shield defends her from death. And of course, many plot-holes in the movie. Of course. The movie just isn't well thought out. Too much money thrown, just to make a quick buck. The kind of movie that thinks ''let's bend reality to fit in with our perspective''
