Surprisingly incoherent and boring
Just perfect...
It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.
View MoreThe storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.
View MoreThis is another underrated film, the acting is excellent even if it doesn't star massive Hollywood actors/actresses, the film is depressing yet compelling, and the bleak setting and nature of the film seems scarily real.It takes place in London, and spans over a long day, in the lives of three adolescent boys, and drama and troubles they get into, and delivers one shock of an ending. The violence is brutal but real, the script is profane, but again realistic and the underage sex, drugs and violence shows us a world we live with, and could happen any day of the week
View MoreReally amateurish, I can't believe this film is being taken seriously.Bad acting, awful script, tacky devices and frankly silly plot. The only thing it pulls off is catching some of the reality of language and attitude of these parts of UK society.I suppose you do find yourself sympathising with people you wouldn't normally, but never deeply enough to create any subversive resonance or emotional attachment. It only gets good reviews because most of the reviewers are under 17. The reason the British press and middle class, 30 somethings, like it is because they patronisingly enjoy blending street culture with the arts as some sort of bourgeois pet keeping fetish. When you watch this film you're looking into a car crash and the collision was between 'urban London youth culture' and the London Guardian reading, wine drinking, metromedia. The carnage is gory, morbid but somehow, you're still watching avidly.
View MoreI -Like- this movie, why the low low low ratings, some people say its unrealistic But.... its real to me, iv gotta say this to those people who say its unrealistic, when I was 15 years old we robbed shops, people getting stabbed and stuff.... But in a place like this its easy to get up to no good "aha Just Saying" people try not to judge because stuff like this happens all the time, if you cant enjoy or relate to this, then, you missed out on your childhood and id say 70% of this was meant to be funny with a mix of innocence, life lessons, gritty, underground, grime life styles this is worth watching listen learn and try get to grips with the "Super Super Story" 3+1=5
View MoreA gritty but very real sketch of life as a teen in London. As a born-and-raised Londoner myself, it was refreshing to watch such a true portrayal of what it is like on the streets of the city as a teenager, struggling through 'kidulthood'.The characters were so real that I recognised many from my own teen years, and the acting was just effortlessly accurate. The filming & visuals of London made me feel at home and strangely proud of the city I call home - maybe because it's so stunning visually despite the hard-hitting reality the film portrays. The soundtracks are all great and relevant to the film, my favourite artist on the audio being the talented Shystie.Overall, the film follows the lives of troubled youngsters, including 3 best friends Trife, Jay and Moony. They may look like your average hooded chavs but when you watch them on-screen, you see life through their eyes & see their story: being a teen isn't easy, and sometimes adults forget that. This film takes you through an epic and often hilarious journey through these young lives as they each make decisions and choices to define who they are. Hard-hitting, this is not one for those who prefer sugar-coated movies, but it is a rare gem that tells it like it is without pulling any punches. It definitely leaves a haunting message with the viewer that makes them question life, youth and the society around we live in.Hats off to Noel Clarke for his excellent work with this masterpiece.
