The film was still a fun one that will make you laugh and have you leaving the theater feeling like you just stole something valuable and got away with it.

View MoreGreat story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.
View MoreThe movie really just wants to entertain people.
Thought it would be more action packed based on the poster, But it was mores suspenseful like Duel on a train or the Hitcher on a train.A weird story about an unknown villain who hijacks a train that still has 6 passengers on it as the train speeds its way to the last stop. These passengers have to figure out what's going on so they can get off. It's all about the tension of this moment. It unites them from strangers to allies it brings out their dark sides and shows what their made of.Very different from what was expected but very good. Hitchcock good.
View MoreThis is a British "B"movie thriller. This film has a few high's and low's, but overall it's a decent, albeit unconventional/throwback thriller. The good is that the two main leads here do a fine job. The cast is really only comprised of about 5 speaking parts. Dougray Scott is always good, but Kara Tointon is a pleasant surprise here. SHe looks a bit like Sienna Miller, and might actually be an even better actress. No doubt she looks the part. The film is a bit of a slow-burner - taking at least 45 minutes to get to the meat of what's going-on.I like the idea of Iddo Goldberg's character in the film(Jan Klimowski). A neat backstory for a character who isn't what he appears to be in the film. The only issue I have is that his Russian accent fizzles into western European English at the end of each sentence. The accent was 'a miss'.You might give this a spin as a decent passer of the time, but I wouldn't go in expecting one of those blow-you-away films that you've never heard of, because it will definitely fall short of that expectation. The film does have 'a little' style, and the action scenes are actually admirably done for what they had to work with.62/100some better music throughout would have added A LOT, while I didn't mind the unconventional approach of no explanation of the villain in this tale - I still would have liked a little 'after-the-fact' finishing scene. It would have been nice to see Sarah and Lewis off the train, if only for a minute. There was a brewing chemistry there, and it would have been nice to see Lewis' character come full-circle with his personal life.
View MoreI have been forced to repost this review ( with alterations) after someone connected to the film reported it.The original broke no rules and neither does this.(This review was deleted by IMDb based on an abuse report filed by another user) OK I was never particularly optimistic about the chances for this film but when the chance to see it presented itself, I thought I'd give it a shot.My expectations were low when it took so long with no sign of release. Unfortunately my expectations weren't low enough. I can certainly see why this has not been released in any cinemas or broadcast anywhere. Its strictly B movie fodder, and that is being generous. The budget isn't adequate to realise a thriller like this.Dougray Scott is good as usual and gives a performance far better than this tripe deserves. Lindsey Duncan obviously needed a paycheck. The fact that dyslexic Dawn from Eastenders is the female lead speaks volumes. The sooner she gives up acting for full time modelling or reality TV the better.Production values are variable. Plot has an idea or two but is full of holes.I notice there are 4 glowing reviews on the message boards for this movie. None of the 4 have reviewed anything else, 3 of them have never posted before or since and 2 of them joined the IMDb very shortly before ..
View MoreLAST PASSENGER is a British movie and a low-budget addition to the string of "single location" thrillers. In this one, a handful of passengers are stranded on an abandoned train at night, a train that's being driven by a man who may or may not be out of his mind. What ensues is reasonably good given the set-up, with plenty of suspense and low-rent heroics as those trapped try to work out a way to improve their situation. One of the real strengths of LAST PASSENGER lies in the calibre of the cast members. Dougray Scott is a particularly dependable face when it comes to genre fare (such as the lacklustre DAY OF THE TRIFFIDS miniseries) and he acquits himself well with the family-man-turned-group-leader role here. Kara Tointon is little more than a pretty face, but there also decent turns from the reliable David Schofield and Lindsay Duncan. Newcomer Iddo Goldberg is a hoot as the volatile Pole who plays his own part in the proceedings.A few elements of LAST PASSENGER are a little cheesy, such as some of the CGI effects, and there's a nod to UNDER SIEGE 2 at one point which destroys the carefully-maintained realism seen elsewhere. But for the most part this is gripping, tension-filled stuff and a film whose restraint works in its favour.
